While I agree that the post was only done for the lulz, the "compare to" price on apparel at stores like Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Ross, etc., is rarely in line with actual MSRP.

I don't believe that either why in the he'll would a new release be that cheap at Ross most.reg stores barely got shipment how Ross get these????

Finally got my pair...
400

Priority with tracking costs about that much to Canada homie.
CCS has 4 different options that are cheaper than $40..... $11.75 sounds pretty good to me, I'm not worried about speed!

1000

Atlas is nothing compared to SPOT though for Canadians.

1000

This is borderline criminal, $60 bucks for shipping (I'm exaggerating here, but seriously). If you prepay the duty, tack on another $30. Everytime I've used USPS, I haven't had to pay duty on cheap items. UPS on the otherhand......

Y'all got it good down there!

Welp, my size 10 Air Mags came in the mail and they're alittle too tight. Any shops restocking them soon? I need a 10.5

You sure about college? I knew a girl from Canada who went back for college cuz tuition was free.

Not that tuition is even the biggest factor. My tuition is 8k a year but I end up paying around 20k with room/board, books, and fees

I'm so tempted right now... Somebody reassure me that I'll be able to find corks for well under $100 in a few weeks. Please and thank you!

Yea I'm sure, I'm in university right now, and my current amount of student loans would disagree with tuition being free .

Perhaps she is part native (they get school paid for) or had a scholarship for something? Having said that, my tuition is about 5k a year, so it is a bit cheaper. But you're right, living and books ends up costing way more.

No problem. As much help as I'm sure we've all gotten from others and just from this thread as a whole, I'm glad I could help. The Jordan threads could totally learn something from this Nike SB life.
I've been hanging out in the AJ1 Chicago thread a bit. It seems dominated by resellers rather than those that genuinely want to wear the sneaker (with some overlap of course). But that naturally shapes the discussion within the thread and gives it a very zero-sum game feel in terms of desire to help. And the resellers are constantly hyping the sneaker and doing their best to convince everyone that prices will only go higher, so even when information is provided it can't be trusted. If SB Dunks were to start fetching similar resale markups, I imagine this thread would quickly deteriorate in terms of quality and helpfulness. And that's not to say those who are currently a part of it would turn; rather, you'd get an influx of those currently reselling JB into this thread. Pogs, Beanie Babies, Pokemon Cards...I liked it better when they focused on stuff I didn't care about haha. Just my opinion, but it seems the secondary market shapes the thread quality via the crowd it attracts more than anything else. Having said all that, I do love this thread and the participants within it! It's very helpful and I've learned a lot.
