OFFICIAL HOCKEY THREAD: NHL, KHL, NCAA, IIHL

Steen getting back on goal scoring track post-concussion.

Feels like these Isles/Pens games have no defense or goaltending.

No doubt. League sent out the FedEx today so I'll know what's up by Saturday.

Unrelated. What do you guys think about getting your own jersey with name and number? Lame or do you?
I feel its so 50/50 about getting your own custom jersey but honestly, do you...If youll rock it. then buy it.

So many live hockey game virginities are being taken away lately.. Hope you guys have a good time. Im sure you will.

AND YES! Wild strike first! :pimp:

Getting a jersey with your name on it is one of the lamest things you can do.

if your worried about the player leaving just get a throw back.

All this outdoor game talk and I realized I never posted my pics from the Winter Classic at the Big House:

All in all, my greatest sporting event experience ever :smokin It was cold as hell but it was like sitting in a snowglobe for four hours which I thought was awesome! Totally worth the money even though we lost in SO, Toronto fans were cool as hell :smokin

Nice pics. My boss is a devoted Wings supporter so I'm forced to hear about Tatar and Nyquist on a nightly basis.

Stuff was certainly destroyed in his office Monday during the Blues loss.

.

Im interested why you feel that way?

I have a friend who is a huge Canucks fan who refuses to have any name on his jersey as he is put-off by wearing another man's name on his back.

you arent on the team, why would you want a jersey with your name on it?

it just seems desperate.

get a no name or throwback.

throwback for a new fan makes even less sense though...i think it's ridiculous when i see an 18 year old wearing a bobby orr jersey. kid has never seen a single game with orr in it.

i do agree that names are tough with the players moving on. my main bruins jersey is a neely throwback. always has and will be my favorite bruin. i did crack and buy a krejci 2011 cup finals jersey though.

What about the game tickets, apparel, paraphernalia, concession fans purchase to support the team? Not to mention the impact of free promotion through social media and other avenues. That doesn't indirectly make supporters "part of" the organization?
