I was at Maple Leaf Square for that game. It was f*****g electric up until the final 10 minutes lol. When it was 4-2 the entire atmosphere of the square changed. It was as if everyone knew we would lose

. In hindsight it was for the better. That team was never going to win anything lol.

I kinda agree with this 99.9 percent of the time but hes the reason his team is where it Is and this was a funky scoring year

If the caps had finished 2nd in the east ovechkin could have won it

Dubnyk and tavares as darkhorses.

Really havent been too many stand out seasons. 50+ will always get you consideration but idk

Who would you give it to?
 
i dunno...i feel like there's definitely situations where a goalie can be league MVP. it's rare, but i wouldn't rule it out.


like DMX said, they play most of the games. not like a pitcher that goes 1 out of 5

This. A goalie would never be my first choice but in a season without any spectacular point totals,why not give it to a goalie? Especially one that's having the type of season he's having,who was the last netminder to lead all major goalie stat categories? It's a tall task and you could genuinely argue that he's been the most indispensable player in the league. We'd probably be scrapping for a playoff spot like some of these East teams without Price.

One positive of the Bruins potentially missing the post-season this year? Jacobs couldn't possibly charge a mortgage payment for Winter Classic seats hosted by a non-playoff team...

True. But then you could argue that any top/elite goalie on a winning team is the MVP (depending on your definition of MVP, but that's another argument). Similar to a QB in football.
