Not really a hockey fan but ever since I got stationed in North Dakota I'm 20 mins from the best college hockey team in the nation. The games are always packed and the stadium is beautiful. I went to the trophy celebration last night and I was probably the only black person there

Thats how I feel at Islanders games in Brooklyn.

By the way...I heard things are terrible at Barclays for Islanders games as far as relations between the fans and some of the people who work in the arena (security, concessions, etc.)
I know a lot of players aren't fond of playing there...mostly because the majority of the players still live on LI and the practice facility is out there as well. I think Calvin DeHaan is the only guy on the Islanders who actually lives in the city. What the team has done is rent out a grip of hotel rooms near by for the players to rest in before games. It's been a transportation/logistical nightmare for a lot of them.
This is a dumb question but you ******s ***** about Barclays non stop! I love Barclays I can take 25 min train there now I no longer have to sit in traffic for 2 hours guess the LIR people know what the rest of us felt like except we couldn't take LIR all the way to the colli stop your *****ing there is no energy at the games cause you waist it all *****ing here about Barclays all I know is I didn't piss myself waiting online for the bathroom my food was good and my seats were comfortable I love Barclays and I will stay there for ever you guys go back to the ****** barn if you want and think about the last 20yrs there and how ****** they were how ****** the team was how they had no exposure and how even when the team was LI we still out and the team still didn't get any support do us all a favor and stay in Long Island this is a young team with a growing fan base within 5 yrs they won't need spoiled ******** from Long Island fill up the stands
So I made my first visit to Barclays last night. Granted, it was a meaningless game, and I went with a bunch of Flyers fans (who are blithely predicting a 5-game win over the Caps). I don't see where all the hatred comes from. Of course, of course, I loved the Barn, but progress must pro-gress. I sat up in 218, I could see the entire ice surface. Customer service was great ( I left some tickets for another member of this group), the food options ok. My son got to ride on the Zamboni between the 2nd & 3rd periods..of course my phone decided to die before I could get some pics. We got in and out with no problem. I look forward to going back for a late-round playoff game.
I love how the islanders team store in Barclays Center had a lot of playoff merchandise....NOT!!!! They had one stupid shirt that wasn't even being displayed...all folded up on top of a shelf....
I expect nothingReady for the Rangers to break my heart again.

Lol It's been awhile we gotta catch up on Xbox man I'll join your chat one night. Should be a great series to enjoy. You going to any games ? I think you said passed on playoff tickets package but I'm sure you'll attend a single game
lol to be honest that won't phase me.
That's also a good point. And how funny would Leafs fans be if Kessel won a cup?
