Official FUTURE A1/FBG Thread

So y'all don't think The Weekend or Kendrick deserves their Grammy?
I'm a Weeknd stan & no, I don't believe he deserved the Grammy for BBTM...That was his weakest project out of his entire discography. Happy for him, though.

& I thought Kendrick's album stunk. I couldn't even get through it but since it was an abstract album, critics loved it.

Kendrick, sure. Weeknd, nah. Not for BBTM. And I'm far from a hater. Check that thread... My stanning is welllllll documented.

I understand the Grammy win. I get that. But for fans that have listened to him longer that know the caliber of artist he is, or was, and knowing that he is, or was, capable of more... Nah. BBTM wasn't it.

It kicks off today doesn't it? Tickets were $150 for the Atlanta show. Gotta stop playing around and scoop one.

Yessir. Wisconsin tonight and my city Chicago tmrw :nthat:

I'd get on it now. Prices for the Chicago show on most sites are now ranging from 189-260$ and have gone up steadily.

I copped for a clean bill yesterday.

Huh?

Why are you here then peasant? You one of Thugga's foot soldiers?

Be gone before you're sacrificed to Almighty Fuutch.

Jeez, extra sensitive huh.. Please tell me your not defending that project full of throwaways not even mentioning evol [emoji]128580[/emoji]. I admire everything up to ds2, and even that didn't have a new hit on it besides the song with his fake**** batmitsfah buddy and I skipped it every time.

That article makes plenty of sense but at the same time I hate humans more & more. Dude has delivered extremely solid content at a really crazy pace & now all everybody can do is sit around and say what's next?

Personally I'm gonna enjoy these jams even more. Even if the man never makes another piece of work that lives up to his past stuff I'm grateful. I think people are missing that nowadays with instant gratification being the common drug now

No, it's not about asking what's next. He's at the point where he has diluted himself and nothing is catching.

I always have a hard time understanding people that use that sort of rhetoric.

There will never be another March Madness. Well of course not. No one is expecting a March Madness part 2. But to hold everything up to the standard of "_____ is not better than _____" does nothing more than take away from your ability to enjoy the new material that's being put out. There will never be another March Madness... Okay... That means Fly **** Only shouldn't get the credit it deserves in its own right?

It's like Jay Z saying "****** want my old ****... Buy my old albums".

If you can't appreciate the art this man is creating at a rate that has never been seen before, pop back in 56 nights and put March Madness on repeat.

Why though? Because a tiny minority of contrarians think so?

please family, this new material is as good as everything prior and up to ds2?! there is no way, he is playing himself and his sound out

Yea. It really is when you look at the music for what it is and not some pseudo-rational angle that analyzes everything but the music itself.

Inside the Mattress is one of my favorite Future songs ever. Seven Rings and Lie To Me are probably on their way there as well. The three worse songs from EVOL/PR might be better than the three single worst songs from 56 Nights/BM/Monster.

My biggest issue with the very few dudes like you who claim Future fell off, he sold out, the music isn't the same, etc is I've never once seen anybody even attempt to articulate why the music isn't the same quality. There's never any actual reasoning.

Preach.

Truthfully, EVOL & Purple Reign are literally....right in line with 56 Nights/Monster/Besst Mode. Content, production, sonically, even arrangement. If these tapes dropped in Jan & Feb of 2015.....dudes would hail it and put it right up there with the 3peat.

While I enjoy WATTBA, and it's opened future up to a larger fan base.....it's also hurt Future in a sense, because he isn't seen as the underdog anymore. He's the go to guy for hits again....the one they can blame the downfall of hip hop on. The one that "sold out" or "fell off".....when in reality....he gave us at least 4 quality projects in a calendar year....a spur of the moment collab tape....and here we are now.

Nothing has changed. People just WANT to be tired of Future now. It is what it is. Imma see it for what it really is, than try to bs analyze it for no reason.

If you sit here and listen to Never Forget, Zanny Family, Wicked, Lil Hati Baby, Lie to me, Fly Sht Only, Inside the mattress, Perkys Callin.....and come away with the conclusion that this guy has fallen off or changed, then you're lying to yourself.

Edit*: Also, I feel like the fans that were brought over from WATTBA are fickle...and follow popular opinion. They only got to see about 2 sides of Future on WATTBA. And if they don't hear THAT Future....then to them, he fell off. These fans are the most vocal.

Then you got the I been a day one fan since before WATTBA crowd that have it set in their minds that Future went pop again. Even if the evidence is to the contrary .

Purple Reign and EVOL are definitely in line with the previous tapes and DS2, but EVOL was the first to me out of all those that had easily identifiable filler. That's a reason I think it should start giving Nard & B and DJ Spinz more looks. Not saying to eliminate Southside/Metro Boomin, but just vary it up a bit. All those tapes/albums are still quality though, WATTBA included, and I'll still be anticipating the next.

What feels like filler to you on EVOL?

Only one I can think of maybe is Photo Copied. For me EVOL might be the most consistent front to back out the whole run.

Dipset gon dipset

I decided a long time ago dude was bot. Simply because there's no humanly possible way dude could be as dense and illogical as he's been illustrating in the music forum for years now... so yeah, pretty sure it's just a robot Meth currently has in the testing stages.

Fam ive been begging you for years.

Please post some pron and get this name banned.

Be CashMoneyEmployee or something else man

It's cool if y'all disagree but that's my honest opinion. "Honest" wasn't better than "Pluto"? C'mon man. it was slightly better.

Future has a crazy discography. DS2 is currently Nadayvius' magnum opus.

Like Peep said. A little less Metro and Southside. They still got bangers but that sound is getting ran into the ground. Evol got some great records then it got some songs that are repetitive.

I agree with this too.
