RUN with US on INSTAGRAM #NTrunning (NikeTalkRunning)

:nerd: I remember you guys were talking about it but what GPS watch sinks to nike plus app

 after my phone died on mile 10 of the half marathon I need another alternative

I think all of the Garmin and Tom Tom watches released this year link up.  I use a Garmin Vivoactive, but I know people that use the latest Forerunner and it also syncs up.

How does the syncing work from your Garmin device to your Nike+ account?
You have to sign in to nike+ thru your garmin app. Only have to do that once, when you're setting up your watch. Then when youre done with your run you turn on your Bluetooth and the watch syncs with the apps

tempted to give the watch a try but I like looking down at me phone to see the location of where I'm at especially if I want to be spontaneous during my run and switch routes on the fly :frown:

Anyone own the Garmin Forerunner 225? If so, how is it? I'm trying to decide whether I should opt for it or the Vivoactive...

Gave in and signed up for the LETSGO510 race this Sunday. I tried to resist but that GSW medal and shirt was calling for me. It is a bit weird that the medal is based of the current logo and the shirt is based of the thunder era. Wish the shirt had the RUNTMC design but what can you do.

This will be my final race until Star Wars Half Marathon weekend at Disneyland on MLK weekend.

Tweaked my right knee :frown: need to rest it. Running 3.5 miles and crossfit yesterday didn't help

Going to need to go the doctor if this doesn't go away sometime next week. Thought it was just sore from the half marathon last Sunday

Me too illustrayt. I'm debating in vivoactive or fenix3... I see refurbished ones for cheap but not sure on how reliable refurbished ones are...

I've had random knee issues (not painful or anything, just feels different) throughout my training for this marathon. Nothing severe probably one every two weeks. Today my right knee just felt "off", again not painful in the beginning of my run but after mile 2 it was feeling normal. But once I got to mile 9 my left hip just felt off and caused my stride to be all off just so I could finish my 12 miler. Hope it was nothing though. No pain/issues after the run though.

Btw I had the Fitbit GPS with heart rate. Thing is pretty ugly though. Was able to return it and instead of the other things went with the Apple Watch.

Never ran with my phone but once I got a flipbelt and held my keys/phone in there, I wouldn't go back. Tracks HR, can control a good amount of your phone, and it has more daily practical uses.

Could be the IT band - not sure where the pain in the knee is.  I had the same thing, and used a roller to help with it.  The hip still flares up, but nothing I can't run through.

Going to start a 5k training program using the Nike plus app just so I can get in some cardio and hold myself accountable since my runs would be scheduled

Tempted to do the 5k or 10k run to feed the hungry run but not sure if I'll be in town for thanksgiving

Been focusing on lifting and doing cross fit since the half marathon

Looking to NT runners for a recommendation on a running shoe for the wet weather that's coming. Currently run in flyknit free 4.0 (2014) and happy with these, but obviously no good at keeping my feet dry.

Considering either the wildhorse GTX or free 5.0 flash. Anyone have any experience with either of these? Other models I should consider that will perform/feel similar to the Free?

Anyone else running NYC this weekend?? Maybe a NT meet up for a shake-out Saturday?

Wish I was! Love the weather there in the city this time of year. Ronnie you should come out to Cali for an SF run - plenty of us ntrunners there. Ntrunning x kith collab??

Bay area runners - I swung by your San Leandro clearance store yesterday for the first time. Night and day on prices from regular outlets! And found nice compression socks for cheap, several gifts for family, and even found a pair of $130 Gyakusou shorts for $20 and the nice long sleeve knit shirt for 40! Structures weren't as cheap as I wanted, so I'm still holding out for FNL to drop their price again on the 18s

If you're already comfortable running in Frees, then go with the 5.0 Flash.  I have the Lunarglide 6 Flash for my wet weather runs (like this morning), and they're good at repelling water (for a while - eventually your wet legs lead to water running down into your feet and making wet socks.  But the toebox and midfoot repel water just fine.

Go with the Flash Free 5.0s.

Most of the shoppers there want Jordans and new and retro basketball sneakers, so the running gear and sneakers are slept on. As a runner, it's a dream store!

I just got an email from NIKE+ saying that I could join them for a HALLO-RUN at the Nike campus! I'm thinking it's a mistake! Or maybe it's not :nerd:

What size are you looking for in the Structure 18.

I got that too! And there are a million people on the cc line - hate it when people use cc instead of bcc on these kind of lists!

Size 11. But I'm pretty cheap. FNL has them for 69.99 and I'm letting them sit until they start on their holiday sales
