Compare the pic from the top pair found on Adidas US to the pic on the bottom pair found on SNS. You can tell their are differences and in other pics the quality looks tons better on the SNS pair. I would rather pay extra for the SNS pair but want to make sure I am getting the higher quality version. Anybody ever compare their pair from overseas? I'm kind of new to buying Adidas but trying to do my homework.@50inchvert  Repped! Thanks
 
^ re this I Have both versions (unexpectedly) and was going to post a comparison picture but the two above sum it up. I bought my first pair back in January (not from the Consortium pack) the original release prior to that. I got them from Offspring and they are the bottom of the two pictures. I recently ordered another pair from Footlocker EU online for a friend and was shocked to find that they were not the same and were the top pair as there was no significant difference in the online listing. So this is not a region specific thing I think it's more of a premium release first and then now they are a GR everywhere a lower quality version. The main differences between the two are the leather is of white (similar to Nike Sail colour) on the premium and it's a standard bright white on the GR. The leather is better quality on the premium really soft and on the GR it's a standard pleather style (although still better than Nike equivalent). The midsoles have a slight yellowing effect on the premium but not on the GR. The rear tab is a brushed suede effect light green on the premium but a dark green pleather on the GR. The laces are waxed off white on the premium and their standard white on the GR. The tongue is one piece thin leather on the premium but a padded double layer on the GR. The premium comes with a retro card but the GR does not. The Premium has very soft leather in the liner. However the shape does appear the same on both. It seems to me that the specialist retailers got the premiums first 6 month head start and now the corporate chains have the GR. However I'm not knocking the GR if you just want a decent Stan Smith. However if premium materials and vintage look is what your after make sure you get the premium.

@britkicks - repped sir! was just about to ask the same question before pulling the trigger on some overseas pairs. Love my US GRs but that pleather is not cutting it :smh: definitely appreciate the info :smokin
 
Don't know if its too late but are there any Mita Tobaccos still around? US 10.5 seems to be the only size yet to pop up on ebay or anywhere else for
 
Wow! Finally got to try on those Pure Boost today at my local FTL/HOH. Those things are nirvana on feet and like walking on clouds. I'm a huge lunarlon sack rider in terms of cushion comfort but those Pure Boost are legit! I'm definitely going to hop on the PrimeKnit ones oversea. The neoprene or whatever material is fine on the ones here but yeah those things are just so

BTW nobody has any adidas.com promo coupons at the moment? Man... adidas used to pass those out like business cards.
 
The different Stan Smiths most definitely ARE a regional thing, we already established that back what they dropped. The yellowed midsole/premium leather/stitched tongue release was overseas ONLY. They weren't dropped at any US account, excluding maybe the singular Barney's release from fashion week last year.

Maybe the "vintage"/premium UK pairs sold out and they moved the mass produced US stock over there, but it has nothing to do with the first batch being premium and the ones out now being GR. The ones that are available to us in the US are the same meh ones we've had all year, we never had a shot at the vintage pair.

Just recently copped the city zx flux from the photo print pack and boy was I impressed.

Adidas did something right with these shoes. Can't wait for the miadidas to release
 
I just sold a pair for 130 (multicolors DS) ya'll sleeping if you can't find a good price.
