I must be a complete heretic, 'cuz I just find the Alvins boring. They just look like a GR colorway. Now, I haven't held them in-hand, so the materials would probably sell me on them if I could see them up-close, but not for reseller prices. I love my Nippons, though, and after you apply the baby oil they look killer. I dunno, I just love weird, different stuff,and the Alvins just seem ho-hum.

Not sure how these fit exactly, but kayanos typically fit .5 size long.

TTS fit fine for me. They were a little long up top but it wasn't that big of a deal. Going down .5 might've been to tight, width wise

Alvins look good up there with the ropes, might have to splash out on a pair.

Personally, I think the embers are the better pair of the two above but as far as better than the upcoming RFs, it's all personal taste at the end of the day isn't it? I like embers though, my favourite asics so far this year.

I like the Embers more that red just makes the sneaker pop. and that speckled midsole is just wow.

I'm not a big fan of the speckled midsole... I wish it was white with a dark grey speckled outsole.

Both shoes really pop in person, both are buttery soft. Both came out really nice. Too bad the factory issues really limited these.
