Asics Love?!? Where is it?

its just a CW that was teased a few years prior (history

). CW and colorblocking are clean, and is a 25th anniversary shoe, THATS why demand/hype was high. doubt most folks new about what happened in 2012. 

totally besides my point, though. the Wale shoe not being an official "collab" doesn't make it look worse to me. 
 
Monkeytimes are the only Asics I actually want to purchase this year.  There's been many that I've liked but these are the only ones I have to own.  Hopefully I can pull this off for retail somehow

No worries cuz. I'm glad you can appreciate the shoe and history. Some people just hate, but I can see you're a historian yourself. So, that wasn't what you were trying to do. I just get all nuts over Afew because I'm stil salty they didn't release back then. Damn red camo.

The Wale deal though. You're on point with that. But, at least he's wearing Asics lance mountains. Lol.

all good man, tbh i wish there was more info about the early asics out there, i legit have researched.. difficult to even find a PIC of a vintage GLIII let alone some hard facts. 

still kicking myself for letting a DS 1993 pair of GLVs in my size go on ebay. retro asics seem pretty hard to come by in men's sizes at least. but def spark my interest

Seeing the OG afew makes me really wonder why they chose to cheap out the release version materials. Like I know someone had to hold the sample and approved the version that made the final cut and they chose to go with the Nike GR leather and "suede"? Kind of irks me....especially knowing that so many other shops consistently keep quality materials on their collabs. Even if they would've had to mark the price up for the adjustment in materials....it's not like they still wouldn't have sold out anyway.


Anyway, on another note I'm still debating if I'm copping MonkeyTimes this weekend...if so, they'll quickly be sent to a customizer so I can replicate the sample look.

Im doing that same thing eventually for sure. Samples were better and that would be very easy to do. I can give you tips to do it yourself if you wanted...

Yea I am on the fence as well because I really wanted to get my hands on a 10.5 of the asics x mita 25th anniversary release. If I can somehow snag that anniversary pair before the weekend then Im going to pass on the monkey times. But then again the hunt has not been well and the only pair I saw on ebay was bonkers price for them, so I may end up trying to get MT. Oh well, first world problems I guess.
 
*places on flame suit* I never purchased a pair of Asics but came across the Monkey Time pair on feet and thought that they were very very nice.

Is there anybody that can assist in obtaining a pair? I do not have any release information, aside from the fact that they release this weekend.

usual boutiques will have them like extra butter, kith etc. Online will be harder to snatch em from if they even pop up online

Do I need to line up at KITH? I want these with least hassle as possible.

As for lining up yea lining up a few hours before opening wouldn't hurt. If you're a big size that's more than enough.

yea you'll be ok. Still trying to figure out which store to go to this weekend, with extra butter being the new hype beast shop, cats camping there all night for shoes you can just walk in the store 2 hours after opening and get. We both going for similar size, I'll probably scoop a 12.5 if I can.
