Of course they were ds but they were left over from first release and were in stock room for like two years. Which is why they only had full sizes because on first release they only had full sizes

I would have copped a pair if I'd been able but I knew I never had a chance at how limited they were. That said, are you saying that they are lying about how premium they actually are? That would be f'd up if so.

I thought the definition of DS was both of the following: Unworn/NIB (obvious) AND From an older production run.
I see nowadays DS is basically interchanged and = NIB but they're not necessarily one in the same are they? DS always = NIB but NIB does not always = DS
Basically what we auto restorers also call NOS, New, Old Stock.

True, I definitely won't argue that point. I was actually hoping it is/will be as premium as advertised. For me that would be enough because I already like that look of good worn leather.

most of them are the nylon pairs. heard there could've been the canvas pairs in the bigger sizes 12 and above. but not too sure on that.
japanese product has always been top notch. they have a great attention to detail and top quality workmanship. that's where most of the worth is. the materials are secondary to the workmanship and attention to detail. and the limit on the pairs is not important at all. that being said, it's worth every single penny to me.
