why doesnt ace hood sell?

He is shoved into our faces. He showed up out of nowhere with cosign from everyone.
this
this used to work in da 90's...

acehood's only fault is he started his career in da wrong decade.

he's got hits, but they ring hollow to me, he's like a poor man's busta rhymes with da features.

he's nothing special

plus he with DJ Khaled and nobody f wit him except DJ's. There are enuff similar rappers like him in the game too.

If Hip Hop made another video game, Ace Hood will be the generic rapper in the create a rapper mode

Honestly Starvation 2 is good. It's what Dreams and Nightmares SHOULD have been.

*Yes I'm going to keep comparing the two because they have damn near the same flow*

He definitely has grown since his release of Gutta. Starvation 2 is easily my favorite mixtape compared to most peoples out now. Underrated rapper nonetheless.

hes definitely a worker...i think there was a forbes or money magazine article w/ him in it talking about he wised up and cut alot of his expenses for long term financial stability...

since then i've gained more respect for him...

Because he took Ace's flow and perfected it. Also that whole Dreamchasers movement helped. And Ross.

Yall do know Meek has been rapping like that before Ace Hood has...
Meek was HUGE in Philly & South Jersey, it wasnt til I'm A Boss with Ross came out that everyone knew who he was but he had been with that flow
Anyways Meek >>> Ace Hood

I mean I know that, that doesn't change the have the same flow. Meek just has worse bars and more yellin.

He doesn't and will never sell because of how he came into the industry. Image and presentation say a lot and you don't get a second chance to make a first impression

Two Chainz says hello. Talk about the trash being taken out and someway sneaking back into the house. I get what you saying though bruh and majority of the time it's true. A few slip through and get a second chance though and it's usually pure garbage. Ace isn't as bad as 2 Chainz and when he's 40 he will be 500x  better than 2 Chainz. So I won't say he will never sell because 2 Chainz is pretty garbage but a few years of industry touches and a big money push and Ace Hood might be relevant.

honestly had to look up who u guys were talking about. had to idea he was signed to DJ Khaled.

he gets no buzz in Cali. i dont think ive ever heard one of his songs anywhere, not even on the radio.

I'm sure they played "Hustle Hard" at least once in Cali

Nah TI's content and what he was talking about at that age was way advanced.  I'm serious was T.I. talking about his younger years and bruh that was waaaaay deep for someone his age at the time. Ace Hood is no where near T.I. when he started.

I have to agree. I remember I had a friend that was in the gang / dealing life and he would play "Urban Legend" all the way through. Almost crying at "praying for help" and "why u mad at me"

That album when played straight is almost like a story IMO the tracks are positioned perfectly
