Like mentioned before NO has always had a connection with Houston... Katrina just completely blurred the lines. No Limit & Cash Money have always been heavy out here since the 90's

Drakes a carpetbagger... Memphis, Toronto, Miami, Houston "I love you all"

Other than that I don't know how A$AP got on that whole lean tip... honestly without that video, Purple Swag is a really forgettable track...

But at the end of the day we all co-op everyone else in some shape or form... I'll keep it real we've been swagging off G-Funk since forever... it's all hip-hop/love, come down here we show everyone that southern hospitality...

there's nothing to refute, swisha house was heavily influenced by cash money, every other line was from juve or wayne

houston was early on wayne, he was a fan favorite ever since tha block is hot and all the hot boy stuff

i knew plenty of cats that would freestyle using waynes voice, not waynes style but waynes voice i tell you

i saw these cats everyday, i pretty much grew up with them

just a couple weeks ago I had two people try and get it for me...but the docs down here tripping on the script...and it ain't as big in SC

That song was the only reason I even listened to that album. It wasnt bad, just pretty forgettable.

  
 
It seems to me (as a casual listener) that more artists are popularizing it outside of the traditional South.
Regardless, Zan with that Lean pt. 2 > any other song regarding the purple substance.

If we started to analyze other facets of music, then nobody would be doing anything creative because people like YOU would be crying about the influence they've had on any artist. If it was like that, then we would have never found Jimi and the influence he got from blues artists and bob dylan. If that was the case then we'd have never seen any +@@++*@ progression on any +@@++*@ genre, ever.

if you don't mind me asking what was wrong with you....i had my uncle try and get some (he has a really bad cough) but he couldn't cause the doc said its to addictive (which I already know)
