What up Wes. Miles definitely lived an interesting life. Besides being a genius musician, he was an accomplished painter too. There's actually two bio pics being done right now, one by George Tilman who directed the Biggie pic Notorious & another being produced by Don Cheadle. Tilman's pic seems to be a straight bio pic but I think Cheadle's sounds more interesting. It's based during Miles' life in the 70s when he became an addict & stopped playing trumpet/music for years. During this period, there were constant rumours of him dying. In the flick Mo Better Blues, there was a period towards the end where Denzel's Bleek Gilliam became a hermit & didn't play his horn. This was loosely based on Miles during the 70s. Interested to see what comes out of both efforts.
BTW, a while ago you posted that you knew someone who was the nephew of Roy Ayers. I started this thread, link here about a documentary about him coming later this year. It looks really good. I also posted segments from Bobbito Gracia & Questlove from the Roots waxing poetic about Ayers which was taken from the film. Check it out...

They've been around for 10+ years. My brother & I saw them in a movie theater that was redone as a music venue. Robert Randolf opened for them & he was unknown then. I sat with my jaw open during his set. Of course Soulive shredded the place too. Got to see hippy white folks do their funny dances. Had me rolling.
