OFFICIAL Ye fka "kanYe West" x G.O.O.D. Music Thread - ¥$ (AKA YE X TY DOLLA SIGN) - VULTURES (NOW AVAILABLE WOWWWW)

I honestly liked what I heard. Little too much autotune but the production is hard. Hopefully the final version has the best of both worlds, Wolves with Sia/Vic and so on.

Do you think it's possible that sometimes you can have too many people involved in a project?

I thought so but then he gave us MBDTF after working with dozens of different folks . Just hoping for something not necessarily comparable but just around the same level as that.

I just dont understand why he/artists cant release their album like normal people. This whole release was just a mess and whack.

I miss the days when I can just go to BestBuy and pick up a copy.

And please dont even start with the whole "he tryna break the norm and do something creative."

I remember those days. Those were the good ol days. I tell you when this went south, when Beyoncé just dropped an album out of nowhere and it did really well everyone else had to try to re-invent the wheel.

I agree. Releases used to be on Tuesdays and was set months in advance. Now they on Fridays, some just digital releases.

How could u tell something isnt mastered by listening to a stream of it being played in an arena? Yall must be listening on your $2,000 studio headphones

1st off...

While I agree with you that I like the old way better you've gotta take in the fact that the people like me and you who would like to buy physical copies are the minority. The name of the game now is attaching your release to as much as you possibly can digitally (News, blogs, celebs, merch, fashion shows..etc) at the release or sadly it won't be talked about. This whole industry has turned into remaining relevant and popularity.

2nd...

The thing that really made my head spin was when he said "Thanks to Adidas for paying for this event"

....now what if he took that money and produced a couple 100k more pairs of yeezys as promised? Things that make you say Hmmm...

Valid points, we are the minority, I hate buying digital, I prefer to buy the physical copy. Now it is all about a brand and I guess that is cool, but the more and more it gravitates towards the "brand" the further and further it gets away from the substance at hand.

Speaking of physical copies, I had to have a rental car not too long ago while my car was in the shop, tell me why I was in the rental no exaggeration for 15 minutes looking for the cd player. Come to find out that car companies are going away from having cd players in the car, moreso American brands, and cd players are going to be options I was legit sad. I have quite a bit of music digitally, but majority of all of my music is on cd, so at one point I'm going to spend a good couple of days transferring all of my music over.

But to me we are in the age of technology so it wasn't that big of a game changer. A lot of her fans are from this generation with word spreading fast to the mass everyone will be able to get there ear to the music.

If your album is good it will get heard thru the network, it's just Be's stans threw it into another universe.

True. And I understand, the youngins are more tech savvy than an older dude like myself, but damn don't forget about us, our money spends the same.

You never uploaded your music to itunes from cd back in the day? It was an easy transfer for me when Google Play came around and itunes would upload your music for you.

Been smooth sailing since.

If he doesn't release it after SNL tomorrow night then what was even the point of all this. That'll be two SNL appearances and no album to even come from that. That's next level Detox right there.

Yea dude I starting to use digital music more but I trend to purchase the album if I really dig the album to show support. Also I guess to still collect cds.

The good old days...

I'm enjoying the season 3 look from what I see so far. People gotta look past those whole outfits and just enjoy the pieces seperately. IDK who or why they put em together that way but there's some individual pieces that def stand out

Did Kanye make any of the beats on this album ?

He probably didn't sit at a beat machine or computer and make them but he is definitely probably responsible for putting random Metro Boomin switch ups in **** and putting gospel samples over Mustard beats.

Kanye on his Puff ****.

Will Kanye ever go back to the beat machine and computer and drop beats like he did in the past?
