Def appreciated the greatest WR of all time. He played with class and effort.

Undisputed GOAT.

No one, and I mean no one even comes close.

[Frank Lucas] MY MAN!! [/Frank Lucas]

GREAT thread WildKYcat.....

this man IS the GOAT from the WR position. While "others" may have more physical abilities, you will be hard pressed to find another player with theheart and desire that Rice displayed. The heart and desire is what made him the BEST to lineup at WR. He was consummate professional who represented himself aswell as his organization(s) with class. He had the best hands I have ever seen, and also his route running was as precise as you can get. When you combine allof that with his natural gifts like speed and acceleration, you get as complete of a WR as you can find. I'm happy that I am old enough to have seen JerryRice play and not just rely on highlights of yesteryear to appreciate what he did. Not naming names, but I hope dudes will come in this thread and really tryto EDUCATE themselves on Jerry Rice. It's real easy to get caught up in what a player like Randy Moss is doing, and have a skewed viewpoint on what thetrue meaning of success is. The true model of consistency came way before Moss, and that man is Jerry Rice. He has as perfect of a "resume" as youcan get in the NFL...accolades, championships, and RESPECT.

interesting timing...sorry bro..as far as im concerned there is no coincidence that moss was on the two highest socring offenses in nfl history

Rice>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Moss..... /thread
Nothing more to add, anyone who thinks Moss>Rice has no football knowledge what so ever.

I definitely agree man... Moss playing his best is ridiculous and can change a team just that much.

[SAS] Howeva [SAS] Over a career there is no question that Rice is the greatest of all time.

.

some fool better not come in here talking about "Rice only got all those records because he played so long." there is a reason he was able to playso long.

when talking about "GOAT's" in sports, Rice is the most solid pick. people can reasonably debate about who the best player at the _____ positionof each sport was/is. but the WR position is not one of them.

What Jerry Rice did is even more amazing when you think about how the coverage rules have changed. Corners essentially play with 1 hand tied behind theirbacks.

Wayne Gretzky is the better pick. Rice is the best WR, not best football player of all time.

When he wants to play.
ya know..the funny thing is...thats true for about 95% of receivers in the league...its just the fact that moss admitted it that peoplehate...ive watched on numerous accounts, games when recievrers "dogg it." quit hatin'....rice aside...give moss his props

no argument here about Wayne Gretzky, i just was thinking about baseball, basketball, and football. but i hate calling someone the best footballplayer of all time, i don't think you can say that about anyone being that players don't play offense and defense in football like they do othersports.

at this thread. this truly signifies that his reign has ended that nowyou have to reflect back...moss is the real g.o.a.t.!

class act and amazing wide receiver.....he would've gotten it done with whatever quarterback was throwing it to him......in comparison to Moss (who isgreat), you can argue that Moss has done most of his damage with two quarterbacks who were playing very well with him - Culpepper (who was good) and Brady whois good.....they are both comparable but Rice's stats, durability and class put him above Moss in my opinion

So your saying that now that he has the record for most caught TD passes in a season = G.O.A.T
