His reign is ended because Moss broke his record in the 4th quarter if the 16th game of the year?
In case you didn't know, Rice got the record in 12 games.
Rice would have had 30 TDs if the season wasn't cut short

Please, JRain, just get away from the computer, go watch the rest of your pats game while pleasing yourself.

DBs were WAYYYY more physical back then.
DBs can't even touch WRs today

u do know that rules are in place now which make things easier for the WR right? Things were a little different back when Rice was in his prime.

you are discrediting Rice....out of curiosity, how old are you? No one is disputing the talent, because Randy Moss is in a class of his own, but at the end ofthe day I am taking Rice....no need to get redundant, but check what Chester McFloppy posted then get back to me....

more talent =/= better player.

I hate when stuff like this comes up because more often than not posters show their age and/or ignorance with some of the statements they make. Jerry Rice isthe unquestioned greatest WR of all time, it's not an opinion it's a fact. As for Moss congrats to him for having the most td receptions in a singleseason. I do not know why people cannot give Moss his props without trying to slight Rice and vice versa. What Rice did in 12 games was incredible and whatMoss did this season was incredible as well. Please people stop saying "most talented= best, because the two things are not mutually exclusive. Rice byhis own admission was never the fastest, nor the tallest but his worth ethic and production were second to none thus making him the best.

I'm pretty sure if you ask NFL coaches and players (current and former), who is/was the better receiver, I'm willing to bet that 95% will say JERRYRICE.

It's only armchair quarterbacks and youngsters on NT that genuinely think Moss > Rice.

have 2 of the greatest QB's of all time throwing at you...
If you can't catch the ball, it doesn't matter who the QB is. Sure, your QB has to be able to get the ball to you in the right spot, butif you just can't hold onto the ball and make the catch...
