Denver Nuggets (10-4) 2023-24 Season Thread: 11/22 @ Magic

Chauncey is trying to send a message but I'm satisfied with the start after the rough start.

Chauncey is killing us

So Jordan and Evans can throw dudes around on offensive rebounds but that's a foul for Chauncey? Pathetic.

I'm more disgusted at this loss than the Utah one. Affalo needs to have a permanent seat beside Birdman he allowed Billups to get going plus other defensive lapses leads to a 3rd home loss

I wonder why Brewer wasn't on Paul instead of Gallo? The offense was stagnant at the end and the team did a terrible job on the boards.

Wouldn't have made much of a difference. You have to play CP physical in order to get him out of his game no one on this squad can do that.

I'm referring to the play at the end of the game when the score was tied and Gallo fouled CP3 going to the lane.  IMO having Brewer on him in that scenario gives you a better chance than having Gallo on him.  CP3 beat Gallo with quickness.

According to HOOPSWORLD.com

Sources close to the process say the Raptors plan to make life hard on the Denver Nuggets with regards to restricted Wilson Chandler. Wilson is waiting for his clearance from China after dominating in the CBA.

Sources say that Jose Calderon and Leandro Barbosa could be moved to land a traded player exception or smaller assets to swap with Denver in a sign and trade. .... Denver holds the power as Wilson is a restricted free agent, but Toronto has eyes for Wilson and seems willing to pony up the dollars.

Toronto loves DEN players

Trading him would be stupid

Going to be interesting to see what happens with Wilson. I do have faith in Masai, though, so I think things will work out for the Nuggets.

And now that I'm not as worked up about last night's loss and feel okay to talk about, what the hell was George Karl doing in the 4th with his line-ups?! Yeah, Lawson was out and the officials were doing the Clippers favors, but there's still no way that game should have been blown. That was another GK loss; I can't even blame the referees and their crummy calls because the game never should have been in a situation where it allowed them to influence the outcome of the game.

The Clippers are a good team, no doubt... and Chauncey went off, but the death of the Nuggets last night was Karl being out-coached by Del Negro. Out-coached by Del Negro! Probably the first time in Vinny's career where that has happened.

Definitely not the way the Nuggets needed to start off this tough stretch over the next week.

Wish I could say the same but it wasn't the first loss because of GK and continuing to ride a bad lineup and it won't be the last.

I agree with both of you guys. My comment about them needing a pg out on the floor was in direct response to the lineup. When LA went small, GK didn't adjust and put Dre back in the game. IMO that was the turning point of the game.
