[Biggie]Your reign on the top was short like leprechauns ... [/Biggie]

Maybe his body is breaking down from goin dumb on RBs,TEs & WRs all those yrs, but dude has lost 2 steps EASY since his rookie campaign.
Those late night off season snacks are doing Roy in.
He isnt making plays, isnt around the ball and hasnt been the ferocious hitter that we have all been accustomed to.
Its hard to see someone falling off right in front of your eyes game by game.

Gone are these days:

Man, if Roy actually tried to wrap up some players rather than going for the big hit, he would double his tackle totals per year. He lets so many players goby just trying to throw his body at them.

What are you talking about! Roy leads the league in missed tackles and horsecollars every damn year.. what more do you want him to do?

The thing that kills me is its never his fault. Every offseason reporters ask him about his coverage (or lack of) and what he's going to do about it.

And its always "Its not my fault, it just looks that way because (insert BS).

(nice pic btw, thats definelty not happening again)

Im not trying to hate or be funny.
Dude used to be SICK.
I used to defend Roy to no end because he always made plays. HE caused fumbles was always around the ball. but his lack of consistantly staying in shape hascost him . He's not the savy type safety that can hang around for yrs despite diminishing athletic ability.

Someone throw his salary and contract numbers in here, If they are really big I wouldnt be surprised if he's outta Dallas this off season.

if anything Goodell will kick him out when he paralyzes a guy

Unfortunately, I can see that happening. Dude is straight up trash

Co-sign.

He's never been good in coverage, but he still made plays.

Now all he does is get beat in coverage, get ran through, and get flagged.

I could see him come out with the Julius Jones defense at the end of the season, talking about "it was Wade Phillips' defense".

^^^ exactly my feelings ... it was like yeah he sucks and cant cover, but man he lays people OUT and stuffs the run ... this year I remember one tackle of hisagainst the pack where he demolished grant ... unfortunately on the next play he dove like a douche and grant went 62 yards ...

four-year, $30.1 million contract extension through 2010. The deal included an $11.1 million signing bonus. 2007: $595,000, 2008: $3.72 million, 2009: $4.4 million, 2010: $4.05 million, 2011: Free Agent

Those are pretty big contract numbers on Roy.

*edit
looking at it, this really will be his last yr in Dallas, No Way does that FO keep that 3.72 million on the books for next season. ROy at 600 grand is a gooddeal, Roy at 3.7 mil is a whole different animal

Doesn't really matter to me. For some reason, it's always Roy's fault to alot of people. Blah, blah, blah.

Dudes saying he's washed up and done and yet he's still always a Pro Bowl player.....

people make the pro bowl all the time and never deserve it.

He has let the penalties and the media get in his head.
Roy ain't that bad, just playing way too passive.
He seems to be afraid to play reckless like he used too.

haha. u can call him a pro bowl player all you want but what does that mean if he's not helping your team? "man he got burned again but you know whatthe guy's going to hawaii so he must be good"

he's one hell of an athlete but he's not a close to what people projected him to be out of OU.

but dont worry Dallas fans u guys still have Ken Hamlin lol.

Why don't the cowboys just move him to LB full time?

::waits for Petewezey aka. Nat X to go at Craftsy....

Roy Williams was a beast back when the horsecollar was legal...he is getting exploited even more because he can't drag guys down the way that he used to inthe past...he needed that move (horsecollar) like Sebastian Janikowski needs GHB on a saturday night...

don't bring up the meaningless Pro Bowl for evidence, bring up on-field performance.

He consistently finishes near the top in tackles on the team.
Has at least 5 or 6 picks every year. Great with helping on the run.
Gets sacks and tackles for loss from the safety position.

Gets burned, but who in the league doesn't get burned.
TE running 4.5 40s and cutting on a dime like WR are hard to cover for anybody.
Look at Witten, 6'5" 270 and quick with good hands. He burns every safety he plays.

Isnt it because of how small he is compared to other LB's to play in the NFL. I heard the only reason why he was at SS is because he is smaller than otherLB's. He is a LB in a SS body.

Dude has fallen off hard.

He was a beast at OU, that play he made in the Oklahoma/Texas game where he jumped over the O-Line to get a safety still sticks in my head.

Now when I think about Roy this Parcells quote pops in my head:

"He's a biscuit away from being a linebacker."

When has Roy got burnt this season?

Dudes cry because he's not making plays but he's played almost consistent the whole season. You don't make the Pro Bowl being a bum...

Are you serious??? Dude is worse than Rodney Harrison in coverage... Dude had lost a step, is getting beat to the corner consistentlry, taking bad anglesand is lacking in makeup speed....Not good traits for someone who was suspect in coverage already....
The thing is, his athletic ability used to be able tobail him out of the bad habits and bad technique that he had....He can't do that anymore so the flaws are even worse and more exposed....
Sebastian Janikowski needs GHB on a saturday night...
Bassy....
