OFFICIAL RAP BATTLE THREAD: Hitman Holla vs. Aye Verb p.12

Budden and Hollow will be a good matchup. It would be interesting to see who goes first and what Hollow can rebuttal and if Budden would be able to freestyle or remember his lines under that kind of pressure. I want to see a good debatable matchup and hoping for the best.

I agree with Joe on one thing, if Hollow goes and raps about stuff we already know about Budden that could maybe backfire for Hollow. Any music fan of Joey knows all about his ups and downs, to me it could flop if Hollow goes this route.

Also, I feel win lose or even draw, it would not afftect Joe negatively. I am hoping it brings other people out of the mainstream and into battle rap. I think this is a good look for Joe and I already give him props for having courage to get in the ring.
 
Yeah fans of Joe won't be impressed by the Tahiry jokes, but how many of Joe's fans are fans of battle rap?

As much as it's about bars and lyricism it's also about entertainment and I think Hollow is a better performer
 
Win or lose Hollow wins. I'm sure he'll be payed handsomely

and he'll get some advanced exposure.

The only way Hollow would lose  would be if he got 3-0ed and that's not gonna happen.
 
Its possible for Joe to beat hollow the overrated rapper. Will he do it idk but its very possible and if he brought it I think he COULD
 
Battle was alright.  City was more versatile.  Top had too much trap talk.  Both of them brought bars though.
 
Joe is not coming out of the battle with a clear cut W. It's not realistic and ain't even worth debating IMO.

You could have all the bars in the world but you don't step into that environment as a regular MC against that guy and come out the victor. Especially when you carry all that baggage. Short of some type of drug meltdown, Hollow will win but what really matters is by how much.

If Joe stays cool, doesn't get thoroughly embarrassed and maybe even takes a round then he's good $. He just has to keep it competitive and put up a good fight.

If Hollow runs away with this **** like he's fully capable of then it's gonna be fun watching a car wreck for 3 rounds.

I just hope the PPV runs smooth and by the end of the night people feel good about what they just watched. This **** could really catapult this thing to another level.

I just hope we hear some variety from Hollow. Like Joe said, I do not think 3 rounds of Tahiry and Pump It Up jokes is going to cut it.

I wanna see what Joe comes up with, as he said he is not really researching Hollow to find out facts...but that could just be strategy talk.
