** Soccer/Futbol/Football Feet, Kits and Gear - 2012 **

missed out on the GS, but it doesn't look like they were discounted on swoosh.... it's showing up as "out of stock" for $300 (product 545287-700). i wear a 10.5 so i wouldn't have been able to wear them anyways, but it woulda been cool to collect.

I had a shot at a size 11 got it into my bag on soccer.com for $300. But i would have wanted to play in them. And i just bought my vapor 8s for $200. Just couldn't really rationalize the price.

Also bought my vapors in a 10.5 because i like my cleats as tight as I can comfortably wear them. But i can do an 11. Hope the 10.5 fits. I tried on a size 11 vapor 8 and they had extra room in the toe that was slightly annoying so i rolled the dice on a 10.5. They will arrive today.

If anyone got the GS please post pics when you get them. I think the boots are gorgeous

I was contemplating about the GS and decided to pickup a 10 this morning, because of the price. Like some, most of my superflys are 10.5's. I usually double sock by using a no show underneath a nike vapor or adidas formotion sock for a snug fit. However, I've been having plantar issues on the current vapor and f-50 boots. I decided to test these 2, for this past summer rec league, and had to purchase a superfeet insole to take the shock that the superflys did with the full carbon soleplate. I will post up pics when I get them in and in action.

700

Ok so I have done nothing in them other then put them on lace them up and juggle. But I am thoroughly impressed. The upper is super thin and actually moves lol. They also couldn't fit any better. Incredibly comfortable and fit like a glove. I am coming from adizero 1s (synthetic) which i loved because i had never worn anything that light before. But my touch wasn't the best in them due to not being able to fully feel the ball. The material was really thin and it gave me some feel but it was basically a sheet of plastic....rigid....hard...so it also didn't move for comfort. I jammed my foot in it and just made do. But the Vapor 8 actually molds way better to the foot.

Will probably come back and edit this post after i break them in and get a game or two in them. I am still a little skeptic on the stud configuration because we play some games on turf and others on terrible fields that are 50% dirt 50% grass. So not sure if the stud pressure will effect me. But thank you Nike

just ordered mango vapor viii's using the ndc clearance code, $105 shipped isn't terrible. will be my first pair of vapors (i only play pickup games and intramural) so i'm looking forward to them. right now i'm using glide ii's, which for my skill/playing level is fine but i've been having some instep/arch pain so hopefully the vapors will help with that.

I've been using Vapor Superfly's and when I started with these, problem city with plantar issues. I don't know what kind of surface you're playing on, but SouthTexas has been drought stricken and the fields are just too hard. I could probably get by turf shoes. But these particular are waaay too flexyand I suggest you get some Superfeet runner black insoles and throw the stock bullcrap insoles in the trash!

thanks for the insight/advice! i usually play on turf but occasionally get stuck playing on hard ground (even though it rains often it never seems to loosen up). i'll check out those insoles, before i would duct tape the ones that came with them to prevent blisters and just kind of build a little more arch in the center.

i should mention i've had most of the arch pain when playing street soccer in sneakers, with boots i've never had too much trouble.

i'm not going to lie i mostly bought these because the name/reputation/price but i'm sure they will suit my needs fine.

They are gororgious. You gonna wear them on pitch?

Sidebar you guys see the Kobe 8. They look like an indoor soccer shoe. They scream vapor 8. Really feeling them

that was the first thought in my mind with the kobes as well - which got me to thinking, why haven't we seen any shots of new nike5 indoor/street shoes? did i miss something? the T-7 and elastico ranges both had a 2yr life cycle; i would hope that nike updates the line this fall/winter.

Maccabi Haifa kit, it's nice...but no idea where you would get it besides the team shop.

Yes, $51 is the Swoosh price.
