As the Team USA figureheads like to say, Boogie has "equity" in that he has put in time over the past few summers with them. So I do not think there's a "no way" in regards to him.

12 players go to the Olympics. None of those spots have been officially filled yet from the pool of 30 players that was announced in January. (Down to 28 now with AD injured and CP dropping out).

I dont think Boogie is a lock at all. The team will have loads of offensive talent around the 5 and personally I think the last thing they need is a ball dominant center down low. DJ fits better imo. He can pick and roll. Defensive rim protector that dunks when needed is all thats necessary for the teams Center position. Get rebounds and outlet into transition. Basically exactly what he does in LA is what I think fits for team USA. I'd prefer DJ and Drummond and that's it for Center.

Im also hoping that they use CP3's spot on an extra forward.

Curry, Russ, and Irving are locks. Only chance Irving doesnt play is if he rests. I hope he does and we just keep Curry and Russ with the amount of capable point forwards available.

As far as Paul George playing, I hope he does. And I think he will to prove it to himself and get over that mental hurdle.

The two things I don't want on this team are poor attitudes and bad free throw shooters. So it makes picks like Cousins/Melo and Deandre and Drummond questionable to me.
 
I wouldn't be surprise if Blake shows up and shows out in camp if he gets healthy again. Sleeper pick along with Farried.

But Melo has never had a poor attitude on team USA, he always thrives in that environment. This is his 4th trip and he's always been team first and balled out. Only bad attitude I see is boogie and he still wasn't rondo bad for team USA. I think Drummond and Boogie should make it, and Melos a lock unless he backs out which he won't.
 
Melo shouldn't be there because of a bad attitude :lol: Maybe you should actually watch basketball games. Olympic Melo is one of the best scorers in the world.

I follow USA BASKETBALL. USMNT SOCCER, USA BASEBALL and so forth. Hell even USA hockey, even though I am not a big hockey fan.

How exactly? The SF position is ridiculously stacked these days. These three SFs are an absolute lock, if they want to play that is:

LeBron

Durant

Kawhi

If they want 4 x SFs on the team, then I guess he'll be there. And that is if he beats Paul George for the spot if PG wants to be on the team in spite of what happened to him the last time. I guess they could also shift some positions and play LeBron at the 4 or one of the others on the 2 or something if they really want Melo on the team.
 
I don't think we have room on our roster for a token college player anymore.

We didn't have one on 12 or 08, did we? I think the last one was UCONN's Okafor on our bronze 04 team, no?

Durant
Kawhi

Dont think it matters how many SF's will be on the team. Roster like this and guys become positionless. I bet Melo, Lebron, Durant, George, and Kawhi all make it.

AD played in 12 when he was just out of college, I believe. Or maybe that was in the Worlds. But he was on one of the squads recently before he had played in the NBA.
