Im not really one to swap laces but when i had my mars i rocked with black laces, ill try and find a pic but they were tough

Black laces not bad on these joints. At least looking better than on the white cements.

If you have a pair of iv's from 2006 and compare them to this year you would know the reasons. Gonna do the same thing and sell my mars iv's.

the quality of the mars was really bad.

Black laces are a no go
I don't think there will be as much hype for these as the cements but a little more than the militaries. Everyone should be able to get a pair.

Hope this true the Olympic 7s came out 2yrs ago, the obsidians and 6s didn't even sell as quick as the 7s did and they sold out faster

In terms of "hype," I believe these will be near the Obsidians.
As long as you don't sleep, and you want a pair, you should be able to grab a pair (or two).

^^ This. Not sure if the 2012 version will be much better but Mars wasn't that nice.

If these are anywhere near as good as the WC IV's then these will be wayyyy better then the Mars.

Met with a connect at Finishline. Got a look at the shoe, and man these a terrible no lie. These are Military quality. Some pairs were already pre-creased

hoping stores around here get better looking pairs. If my pair is creased I'm telling the person at the counter to get me another one.

I'm gonna be optimistic and assume they got a bad batch. They still had the Military's so I compared the leather and they both are similarly very soft, unlike the WC 4's. For those who dont know that means these may be bound to crease easily. Aside from some pairs being pre-creased the theyre nice. With the brighter red and sturdier leather I'd say these are better then the Mars 4. They're just a notch better in quality.

I honestly prefer the leather on the military blues than the white cements but thats just me, so unless they come pre-creased badly then i'll be happy
