Clowney + Bridgewater will be a dream draft IMO

or a trade that gets us Manziel/Mack + a 2nd this year + a 3rd this year + 1 future 1st.

PLEASE TEDDDDDDY...

and yeah I kind of sorta wanted Manziel, but not at 1. Honestly, I think we could have had him if we wanted to trade the 2/3 and a pick next year to philly and outbid Cleveland, but at the end of the day, the Texans seemed to be fine with someone at #33 (Hopefully Teddy) and if not, looks like Mallet with the 3rd round.

Didn't get Bridgewater. Ehh i kinda dont want to take a QB at the top of round 2. Hopefully we can get Hageman, Nix, or a linebacker

Does this franchise refuse to take chances?

I swear we are *******. He had chance after chance to trade up.

Why must I jinx everything. I take the blame for this fellow Texan fans.

Oh well, Nix with 2/1 then with the third Mallet. Trading a 3rd for a 3rd round QB with a couple years under his belt under Spygate.

Not bad.

BUT.

I can see O'Brien pulling the trigger and saying what the Texans did in the past means nothing to him, this is a new regime.

I actually think Smith/McNair thought they had Teddy in the bag (if that's the QB they were even set on in the first place), but I thought so as well but didn't know a Vikes/Hawks trade was in the works. Damn that sucks. What a way to get worked. I hope the Vikings finish dead last in their division.

Clowney and Teddy would've been a great pair to restart this franchise, and now I have no idea where they're even gonna go with the QB. There's nothing I've seen from Derrick Carr that makes me want him on the team. Not one thing. And I don't know enough about McCarron, Jimmy G, and Murray to get behind them. That leaves Mettenburger based on size, but he's also coming off an ACL/knee injury, and a recent drug test issue. We'll see how this goes.

On a positive not for once, let's welcome Clowney :pimp: :pimp:

Once again this franchise finishes one step short all because of a move they didnt make or whatever

**** is really frustrating to watch as a Texans fan :smh: :smh:

**** doesnt surprise me but I keep wanting to believe in boys an hope they change and grow some balls but they stay getting worked :smh:

O well can't dwell on it they gotta come out tomorrow and have a great 2nd day

I really hope Carr aint the pick.

Louis Nix, Kyle Van Noy, Jace Amaro, Austin Seferian-Jenkins are a few names to look out for at 33...

I would be cool with any of those picks. The more I think about it the more I really hope we pass on Carr

I hardly recognize those names, but I liked what I've seen from Nix, and that would not only be a good pick, but it is a need pick. As far as all these other QBs are concerned, based on where Bortles, Manziel, and Teddy went, the rest of the QBs truly are 2nd round to 6th round picks. Bring on Nix.

considering the QBs we really want are gone, i want nix in the 2nd. maybe a DB or an offensive lineman in the 3rd and 4th rounds.

mettenberger or murray in the 5th?

with the way this draft has gone, i think our new strategy should be to fill out depth and fix the problems, then bring in a QB that we don't have to put a lot of pressure on because we'll be set everywhere else

Yea Amaro and Jenkins are both TEs so there kinda lower on the board but I wouldn't really mind them if we took one

Van noy is an OLB and is a beast, dude has work ethic and just feels like he would be a great fit imo a blue collar guy who's gonna give it his all and work all the time

I would prefer that it be either Van Noy or Nix but if we went TE I wouldn't mind

If we go Nix that Dline would be nasty but we also have to shore up our LBs so Van Noy would be a great addition also

We just got so many holes that's its not realistic to think our D is gonna be set this draft.. **** is kinda depressing thinkin bout it

I'm glad Minnesota took Teddy. Best thing for the future will be to weather the storm for a year at QB and (hopefully) move up to take Marriota or Winston next year. Those two guys are clearly better than any QB that was in this draft.

We still gotta hit on multiple of our 10 remaining picks.

Oooooh god I can't imagine having to suffer again while getting all these picks  I want a quick Chiefs-like turnaround during a rebuild, we've suffered long enough

I would believe that we could have a quick turnaround but Rick smiths history of rounds 3-7 are :x :x :x

Only dudes I really remember being decent are Quinn, Barwin, and graham

In all his years here :smh:

Edit: And Barwin was a 2nd lol

We aren't a 2-14 football team, but if we play Fitzpatrick, we might be haha

I want them to go after Mallet, even though I'm not a Mallet fan. I'd rather give him a chance to play and see what he can do, rather than throwing Fitzpatrick or Keenum out there again.

I really want Nix with the 33rd pick. We have literally never had a good DT. Watt, Nix, and Clowney would be disgusting.

brady is about to turn 37. the patriots being so willing to trade mallett only means to me that they aren't sold on him being the guy after brady. if they aren't sold on him, why would we be sold on him?

Someone has to play QB next year, and I'd rather it be him than Fitzpatrick or Keenum, but I'm like I said, I'm not a Mallet fan either.

I'd rather not give up picks for another bum qb. If it's like a 6th round pick, then I might not care

What the hell man. SMH

No texans QB should ever be allowed to wear 8 ever again. Don't retire it, bury that number in the ground with some animal poo from the rodeo and call it a day.
