Could it be true (bred XI december 2012)

<----------- The Columbia my Favorite XI's just check out the avi i will be copping two pairs i don't see alot of Chaos behind these though..

Two points.

1. Why do people talk about "which would you camp longer for?" as if camping is something people like to do or take pride in. I wouldn't camp for either. If camping is something you guys like, you can always...you know - GO CAMPING, like in the woods with tents and lanterns and stuff. This culture of people taking pride in - and looking forward to - sleeping on the street for hours/days for sneakers needs to stop; it's absurd. And, the resellers are the worst offenders - I know a bunch of them are kids, and that work may be hard to find - but this is no kind of hustle, if you're sleeping on the sidewalk for 2 days to make a couple hundred bucks. For most of you, it works out to less than minimum wage.

2. For those saying that the Columbias will not elicit crazy hype, you're wrong. I mean, maybe it will be a bit less than the Concords, but it's all relative. And, overall, the X-Mas XI hyped release is basically a tradition at this point and it will just continue to feed on itself. Maybe these don't have the following Concords do, but you can't look to rationally explain the behavior of the sheep. People will be lining up for the "white Space Jams" or whatever the mass of trend-chasing teenagers will call them. There doesn't need to be any "reason" why people go ham for something. Look at the Red Foams - there's no rational "reason" why people act they way they do. Other people want them, so they want them too. At some point it just become sociology and has nothing to do with the product itself anymore.

Agreed. The shoe being a Xmas release alone equals hype. If you have ever witnessed the chaos(not just the Concord release) you've seen that it's not just people like us out there. Mothers, aunts, and grandfathers show up in hopes of putting a pair of Jordans under the tree for whoever. If Columbias drop for Xmas expect chaos! If black/reds drop expect Doomsday!

It's all absurd to me.

In the red foam thread, I asked a guy why he bought a random size when his size was sold out and there were people saying that it's what they do anytime they can't find their size.  They just buy a random size.

I guess people buy a random size in the hopes of trading with somebody else who bought a random size, or selling that pair in order to finance buying their own size from a reseller.

Luckily, I have OG or first-gen retros of my most my favorite Jordans, so I passed on these recent X-Mas releases altogether. Might need a fresh pair of Columbias though. But, I'd rather (a) hunt it out and find a good deal on another better quality pair in good condition from an older release - can be hard w/ Columbias because of the yellowing patent problem, or (b) find a pre-order spot that isn't OD on the mark-up, or (c)just try my luck on NDC on release night and if that doesn't work go back to (a).

I'm not generally one to knock another's hustle, and I'm certainly not any kind of Republican, though I'm going to sound like one here, but this hustling sneakers stuff is pathetic, at least on the scale that most of these reseller kids do it. It's like flipping trey bags in 2012. Guess what - there's way more money in getting a real job and just being able to buy what you want when you want it. I know that's easier said than done. But, resellers think they're making out by making $200 for sleeping on a sidewalk for 2 days. $100 a day?... Cool if you're in high school or something, I guess. But, that pretty much equates to an entry level office job. My assistant makes more than twice that (plus benefits, 401K, etc.) and I don't even work in the private corporate sector. The goal isn't to scrape every cent possible off reselling sneakers, the goal is to get to a point in your life where 2 days of your time is worth WAY MORE THAN $200.

Never liked the white lining & I might be in the minority but I really liked the CDPs
Might copp the Cloumbia's to hoop i, idk

I dont see these being released but for sure 2013. It would have been sick for them to have done a bred/columbia pack to get rid of some hype and non-heads.

what are trey bags? (tried to google, didnt find anything

$3 bags of weed, usually brick, but sometimes passable "regs." Some spots used to sell them in triangle shaped bags.Able to found into I'd say the late 1990's in grimy enough hoods.

Nowadays, you can barely by a Dutch for that. Though, I don't smoke any more.

Okay, enough Urban History 101 for today. Tomorrow, we'll talk about how people used to do graffiti on trains.

Now I see why this thread is still strong for the most part.

Release them as a pack to get rid some of the hype?? You must be joking right??

Breds over Colombias all day. Bred is the best XI IMO. If I can't cop the Colombias, I wouldn't even trip.

Breds were my favorite 11's until I got a pair of Space Jams then I was torn between the two...then I got Concords and it got even harder to decide...anyway I need Columbia's and DMP 11's to complete my mid-11's set...

I know the quality of the cdp 11s was trash, but they still dropped in 08.... I'd much rather see the Columbias than the black and reds.
