Eli Manning will be in the Hall of Fame

But Peyton Manning > Eli Manning.
One player has 2 Superbowl rings in a team game. The other has 4 regular season MVPs, the pinnacle of all individual accolades. An accomplishment that no one else IN THE HISTORY of the NFL has accomplished.
Some of you guys are just caught in the moment.

same can be said with bball like my man said russell and mj, or oscar and mj, its another reason why i say how can you compare peyton and brady... brady is up there or even better when you look at skill set, he has won more, came big waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more then peyton, has the mvp's the records, both team and individually.

I was looking at espn and they were talking about it and i made a mention about it awhile ago peyton is around a 30% winner in playoffs and big games.  And true its a team sport but a good majority of those losses were a direct result of his gameplay.

Nobody in New York would rather have Phillip "emotional" Rivers over Eli Manning, not even comparable at this point and I like Rivers

That draft class is still great though.

Eli is not Peyton or Brady man, he will have his own legacy and is only 31 years old just entering his prime....he will have a shot at # 3 before its all said and done.

...and completion percentage is extremely over-rated especially with these checkdown QB's in the league, which Eli is not.

At dude couldn't argue a single thing I said, so he used my team as his reply.

When a lame has no comeback or anything to refute the facts, he comes back with attacking "your" team.

What comeback do I need? My team has two rings in the last 5 seasons haha. Life is good where I'm at

You need to chill man. You're turning into a Cowboys fan.

Lol Kurt Warner saying Eli isn't a hall of famer. Son is still salty after getting benched for Eli.

Only got to page 13 and had to post.

tim teufel needs to log out. Son is spewing absolute nonsense.
And to answer the question....No, Eli is not Hall of Fame worthy yet. His two clutch runs do get him into the discussion, though. Outside of those two playoff runs, there's no consistency whatsoever. In my eyes, a HOF bid requires a great deal of consistency in one's career.

agreed but then that leaves the discussion of farve, and lets not act like his career wasnt a rollercoaster of good games followed by atrocious games, decent seasons, to subpar seasons, to great seasons and starting back again.

Wasn't Favre a league MVP at least once? Holds records for TDs, etc? Little different situation than Eli. Saying he isn't in quite yet isn't a knock on the guy. IT ISN'T EASY TO GET IN AFTER A CAREER, let alone half of one

Name a qb that had two runs like Eli has to two rings? I'll wait

You people that look at stats, don't watch the game. Eli has been clutch? How so? The passes he threw were typical. The fade/go routes are spectacular? He did not thread the needle, he threw it like he was supposed to. He should get credit for 'leading' the drive, but it was far from spectacular. The end result should not carry the biggest weight, rather, the path you took is what matters.

I would definitely put Peyton over Eli, granted Peyton has only won 1 super bowl, but his on field play and 'fame' definitely revolutionized the Colts.

Know what is spectacular? What A.Smith did against the Saints, that was spectacular. When you see more 'fame' mous moments like that, is when you'll hear HOF lock.

Eli did his job, but it was 'far' from being spectacular. Eli is an example of a student that didn't attend class, but aced the exam. Now would this student be a GOOD STUDENT, or BAD STUDENT? LOL

Do not even talk about Aaron Rodgers, he's still a pup. He should fight Brett Farve.

So now Eli hasn't been clutch ? Ok now I'm done lulz dudes in here care about stats more than rings haha.

but wouldnt that male peyton the guy who passes all the practice exams but fails the midterm and chapter test in all of his classes except one and gets a 100 on that one.

so who would be the better student then? the guy who gets all a's every year on homework but bombs on test, or the guy who gets c's all year but aces the exams?

Favre? the three time MVP? Nah, man. Maybe you don't remember, but Brett had a stretch of seasons that Eli hasn't even come close to yet.

Better give a special thanks to Kyle Williams and Wes Welker at his HOF speech.

Are you a Niners fan by chance?

What exactly are you trying to prove? Outside of the two clutch, amazing, and improbable runs.....Eli has had ONE true elite season.....
And an abundance of miss-the-playoff seasons. Those are getting swept under the rug?

This is the Hall of Fame. Not the Hall of Very Close. or Hall of Very Good.

It's about CONSISTENCY.

It's about being one of the best at your position as well for years. It is not easy to get in, as I said the only guaranteed QBs are PM and TB right now. Maybe DB but I'm not even 100% sure about that yet.

I like the Niners in the past few decades, but am a fan of the Patriots.  I dislike Jim Harb, so I find it difficult in rooting for them.  My heart is still w/ the Patriots, but people here do not know what spectacular means anymore.  The reason why the HOF is the HOF is because it understand the generational differences in the game.  Those that can SEPARATE themselves from the PACT and CRAFT their own name is what counts.

A person needs to go through highs and lows, peaks and troughs to be successful, therefore, the student that struggles and then ACEs the exam is what I'd put my money on, because he has 'good' practice and he 'battled' through thick and thin.  I'm not saying ELI didn't battle, but he did not do anything spectacular.

You are HOF when you put on a show, in a losing effort.  Cats here ONLY REMEMBER the good stuff about ELI, which is why he is not yet in the HOF.

Think about it.
