OFFICIAL COMIC BOOK THREAD

Got an invite to Comic BT, and started and finished Y:The last man, Preacher, Watchmen, V: for Vendetta and Sandman.

Starting Transmetropolitan ( brings the lols so far) and Cable and Deadpool now.

My fave is still Iron Man 1. Captain America and Incredible Hulk would battle it out for 2nd place.

But just so we are clear original hulk is not part of the Avengers Cinematic universe

Has anybody been keeping up with the New 52 series for Batman or Superman?
Got ahold of the Superman ones but have yet to read, Batman's series had me hooked.

I trade wait on Justice League, and a few Bat Comics but I am way behind as of right now. I think they all had solid first story arcs but a lot of the books fell off for the second story arc. Batwoman is surprisingly really good. Has very beautiful panels and an awesome story that can be followed without reading any of the other bat comics. I like it just as much as batman. I also read supergirl. My views on planet earth are more in line with hers than the boy scout's

I stopped reading the Batman titles, the others weren't that good and I got tired of Snyder (Death of the Family was a huge let down) and no Riddler. Still reading Batwoman though :smokin

Never tried the books for his sidekicks except Batman & Robin but I stopped that when Damian died.

Since I have been catching up to Marvel Now Cosmic Universe how is Journey into Mystery? I didnt even pay attention to that when I used to keep up with cosmic universe.

I'm kind of just now getting into comics. Do y'all download digital copies of the comics or buy the actual comics? I kind of like hitting up my local spot and picking up the latest issue. I'm just not sure if the digital copies are cheaper and better in the long run as far as convenience and storage wise.

Right now I'm on Guardians of the Galaxy, Thanos Rising, and I'm going back and starting on Avengers and the New 52 Batman and Justice League. I'm also looking forward to Infinity and starting Age of Ultron.

For someone that's never been into comics, I can say that I enjoy them a lot. I just have no idea who these writers are and what series to look at.

I subscribe DC on fb. Damn Every time a superman or batman pic comes up I just think how Jim Lee should come back to the X-Men, where he belongs. He did the best psylocke imo (and X-Men for that matter)

Edit: And he did the best Scott now that I think about it

It's not really part of the cosmic MU. Last creative team followed Kid Loki and this one follows Sif. It's basically a spinoff book from Mighty Thor back in the 60s and have continued on since. It is about to be canceled now though. JiM is a very good read though. It'll be like 10 issues of Sif and the Kid Loki stuff is out in trade and hardcover spanning the time of the end of the Siege event to last year.

If you want to read cosmic and get it on the ground floor, read Guardians of the Galaxy, Nova, and soon some of New Avengers and Avengers.

I consider the Thor stuff to be part of cosmic universe. Simply because I seethe words "cosmic" and "intergalactic" to be different. But you are technically correct.

Anyway I started with Guardians and I love it. Nova is also sick. Very impressed. I did not think I would like it. And I read Thor which is an amazing ******g comic. I've been reading Marvel Now New Avengers. New Avengers and this volume of Secret Avengers are the only avengers comics I mess with. Well Uncanny Avengers too but it feels like an X-Book. Basically I am just missing Avengers and I just don't like that book. I havent given it a chance in a while though. Like 7 or 8 years.

Having them graded will make a difference, if its something good.  But the grading process is really expensive.  Remember, comics are only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for them.  Show us what you got

catalogue your books. ask a comic book forum which issues are worth money. figure out which books to get graded or not. if the print runs are high you'll need to get a 9.8 + for it to be worth something. Grading costs about 25 dollars a book after shipping for modern books. And the wait time right now is 4 months to get a book back. you can pay 10 dollars more to get it fast tracked.

If you dont want to do all that I suggest dumping em at your local comic book store, or cataloguing it and selling it as a lot on cl

If you have any books from the 60's and earlier, you're probably good money.

70's and up only key issues or 9.8 worthy books are worth something
