OFFICIAL COMIC BOOK THREAD

Just finished reading New Super-Man #1, despite my massive reservations. That was really refreshing and not at all what I was expecting (a vapid rehash of Superman).

I already like the Kenan Kong character a whole lot

Colonel is a higher rank than Captain though

It's the principle

I think Cap ain't actually a Captain either

Civil War 2 may very well end with Carol getting an entire team of Avengers killed with her decision making  Starting to become clear that she's the real villain of this story. Not due to any evil ambitions, but because of sheer incompetence. Can't be too surprised with Steve "Hail Hydra" Rogers on her side

I haven't been reading Civil War II because I don't really care about it, but I've been reading everyone's spoilers and doing some research...

Did Hawkeye really shoot an arrow through Bruce Banner's eye and kill him? When did Hawkeye become a killer? Why Bruce? Thank goodness I'm not buying that mess. :smh:

Yes and as to when he became a killer, geez it was a few years back now  The really terrible thing is that this is a man who divorced his wife because she let someone die

He was shot in the chest and now I look at it again, his eye too. Bruce told Clint to kill him if he ever turns in the Hulk again. Clint was able to see in Bruce's eyes that he was going to be the hulk again.

I haven't read the first one. This isn't that bad. Just shocking that 2 Heroes are already dead within the first 3 issues... Let along both Hulks are defeated

It is physically impossible for Bruce Banner to become the Hulk again at the moment, because, besides being dead, he's currently been cured of the gamma radiation that makes it possible. This was confirmed in the current Hulk series. All that happened here is **** McGee Danvers leading a powerful force against a defenseless man which led to his death.

That is true. However, Clint claims he was able to see him turning in his eyes. Hence why he was chosen.

Wow. I guess it isn't unfaithful or out of character if he's become a killer already.

I like a lot of Bendis' previous work, but I think he's trying to do too much right now and the quality is slipping.

So DC is going to run the same exact universe but for China?

Not sure, but I liked the first issue. They have a Chinese Trinity, but maybe not a full Justice League and different villains.

Also, was that weird Human Torch/fiery Superman clone from Final Days of Superman and wherever else he showed up actually Kenan Kong?

This'll go down as one of the most ******** moments in comic book history in my opinion :smh: Y'all roll up to Bruce Banners house, the ******* Incredible Hulk, go out of your way to agitate him because of a vision you saw where he turned into the Hulk and killed the EXACT same people that showed up to his house, and kill him in order to prevent the vision of him killing the people that showed up to his house. :smh: :smh: :smh:

The idea that Bruce was about to Hulk out is bad enough when it's contradicting the actual main Hulk title at this point, but all of the above is just terrible.

I get Bruce's reasoning of wanting himself dead. He's been "cured" before and time and time again he always Hulks out again.

Yeah the way it went down was pretty dumb imo. My friend who is a big fan of Hulk was super pissed tho  he was thinking once they brought banner back in the current hulk title banner would get his own series lol

I really don't know what to expect anymore. I'm sure Banner will come back some way, some how. They can't have him dead, forever.
So crazy what's going on in the comic book universe...I still need to understand how Miles Morales entered the 616.

Hawkeye a murderer trying to get by on some weak trumped up assisted suicide defense  He shot dude behind the back and in the ******* head. Talking about he saw the green in his eyes cuz he got better eyesight.

If any of that is true, Bruce is a weak ***** though.

Writing wise, Bendis reached hard to craft this story and I can understand fans of particular heroes would say they're being written out of character.

I gotta say the way the heroes are going about this is a bit dumb. Why announce to the whole world even during a trial you have someone that knows what events will go down before they happen. Just say you got good Intel through operatives and drones and spy cams.

Carol just out here telling secrets and making the Inhumans a target. Should've pulled the can't talk about confidential national matters.

Hulk will probably be back when Ragnarok comes out with a new #1 title for Bruce as Hulk

As for Miles in the main marvel universe

The 616 no longer exists. It was destroyed and obviously did not come back. When Reed, Franklin, and Molecule Man remade the multiverse, they recreated their universe and Earth first. Making it the prime-earth.

What kind of operatives and spy drones predict the future though? lol

Carol already revealed to some people that oversee Carol Corps that Inhumans had someone that could help predict and prevent attacks. They were already asking her about it after they saved the city from that celestial attack or whatever. Also they can only show up with a massive force of heroes so many times before people start wondering a bit.

 Geez man you gotta pick up on the lie.

Peep the Ultimates tie-in to Civil War when the NSA/CIA were discussing the heroes being proactive wondering how they were doing it and Carol straight up lied to them about it. They thought it was some machine. She should've took the lie further and not even say its anything with predicting the future. Just good intel and espionage.

When you stop terrorists before they attack it's usually cuz of an informant with a good tip, a drone surveillance unit that were already monitoring a bunch of suspects.

You don't say anything about predicting the future. In the real world when attacks are stopped before they happen it's not cuz of future predicting Inhumans

And yeah what I'm saying is Carol was way too posse with this info. Medusa told a handful of heroes after the death celestial attacks. Carol do e spread that fact in every book she's in except one.

I'm saying in a televised criminal court case is the time you clam up about somebody that you're using cuz he predicts the future and they're an inhuman. Makes you too much of a target and attracts all of these issues.

But hey a few weeks ago I was saying Medusa should've never said anything to any of them. When asked how they knew just say some Inhumans fought them before and that can pass most non-Inhumans don't know a damn thing about them anywaym

Actually maybe it was the Ultimates book I was reading that the scene I remembered happened in.

I get what your saying, maybe she revealed it all too soon, but I meant eventually it would need to be explained. Could of said we had intel from our allies in Space about the surprise attack in NY and got time/location, same way to get intel about Thanos planning an attack, but Banner didn't actually Hulk out or do anything. With 100 witnesses there, are they really gonna be able to keep it all a secret? Maybe you could convince them all to lie for you, but you weren't going to keep Tony's month shut. And the teen avengers were starting to side with Tony after witnessing this first hand.

I agree with you that Carol is way too freely open with this stuff. But with the way Carol wants to use Ulysses to be proactive and stop crimes before they happen, unless you wait until crime is being committed eventually your going have to have something to use in court if you are going to arrest people proactively.

It doesn't really need to be explained.

Several long term lies you can tell.

The Hulk thing has no ******* defense. Heroes approach Bruce Banner, they talk and accuse him of ****, he justifiably gets angry, then Hawkeye murder him in cold blood cuz Bruce asked him to. You don't even have to bring up future predictions there. Why Bruce is dead doesn't have anything to do with the who and why.

As for keeping it a secret after that, arrest Tony if he threatens to speak, and threaten the kids if they don't listen to reason.
