• In 2001, Smith was the first rookie to make the Pro Bowl as a special teams player since Tyrone Hughes in 1993.(Devin Hester later did this in 2007)
• Steve's 404 postseason yards in the 2003 were the most since Jerry Rice gained 409 yards in 1988.
• In 2005, Smith became the first player since Washington ******** receiver Art Monk in 1984 to lead the NFL in receptions for a team that ran more often than it passed.
• Smith earned the NFL's receiving "triple crown" in 2005, leading the league in receptions (103), yards (1,563) and touchdowns (12). (Onlt 2 other playes to do this: Jerry Rice and Sterling Sharpe)
• Smith is one of only three players in history, along with Jermaine Lewis, and Devin Hester, to run back two punts for touchdowns and catch a touchdown pass in the same game.

To think he has done all of this with Jake Delhomme with his QB

One can only imagine what this guy could do with a real QB...

Real talk though, here is a guy who goes out and gives it his all, even though he plays on a bad team.
He could easily pull a Randy Moss and demand he gets traded, but he doesn't.
He gives a 110% out there every game, I would love to have him on my team

I came in here thinking it was a Steve Smith NBA appreciation post. One of my all-time favorites.

I agree. This man is incredible. Wish he would go to a team like the ******** or Chargers.(my fav teams) lol

biggest heart in the league. dude does everything he can to get that extra yard. ( someone post the vid aganst houston this season for example).

Best WR in the league. Or at least the most complete. Put him on the Pats I would be put money he would've put up better numbers then Moss.

Because if he doesn't think that Moss will pull his balls out of his mouth.

Smith would have better reception numbers, yardage, and equal his TDs if he was on the Pats. Smith can catch it over the middle, turn hitches and screensinto long gains, go deep, etc. Like I said before he's arguably the most complete WR in the L and I don't see how that's funny. If he can get103/1563/12 with Delhomme () as his QB imagine what he would do withBrady and that offense.

I agree with you, the fact that this guy is putting up #s with the Panthers is amazing.
