Nike Lunar Hyperdunk 2012 - Olympics CWs Hitting Stores! iD Now Available!

^Good find, reminds me of the Air Max 360 BB's tooling, if it even is Air Max like it looks:

I'm thinking it might be the Zoom-within-Max setup that we've seen some samples in the past few months, especially since those samples had an upper very similar to the HD 2012. There was word that those samples were meant to be an early version of the Lebron IX Postseason, but it's possible that A) Those were in fact samples of this version* of the Hyperdunk 2012 and not samples of the Lebron IX Postseason, or B) The Lebron IX PS will share it's tooling (or at least it's cushioning type) with this version* of the Hyperdunk 2012.

*this version meaning the variance of the HD 2012 that appears to have a non-Lunarlon tooling

What if Shaq were on the Nike Roster and Olympic Team.. could he wear this?
What if Allen Iverson were on the Nike Roster and Olympic team .... could he wear this?

I'll seek professional advice..

I wonder if Leo did these as well....

From what the head of Global Basketball said, Eric Avar designed these.

It looks like there's a Lunar and Air Max versions of the Hyperdunk 2012I think it will be Durant, D Will and others actually wearing the Hyperdunks during the Olympics with Kobe and Lebron wearing their elite versions of their signature models. It doesn't make sense to bust off $200-250 dollar models respectively for 10-25 games of exposure

I love that Nike always does new things with technology and performance. But aesthetically, these are lacking. I don't think they will be classics like the 08 Hyperdunk was. I would still love to try them on and ball in them to see how they perform but wouldn't pay $200 for them and don't think too many people will be either.

I like these

And I agree with Nike Dealer, I've always preached the same thing.

Exactly

I think it will be hard to be a classic shoe at that pricetag.

HD 2K12s look dope. $200 though

Would def cop on discount. Jerseys are copped. The USA KD IVs are fire too.
Personally I don't buy into the whole "big men can only play in this shoe/guards can only play in this shoe" theory. Wearing one type of bball shoe is not going to drastically alter one's performance on the basketball court. I've played in everything from Kobes to HDs to Jordans and Air Max LeBrons.

i think shoes do make a big deal... some what... its all about having a comfort level when playing. Having a shoe that fits your game (doesn't affect your speed or jump) nor wear your foot down (with blisters, burns, etc.) can only help.
I personally don't care either & can play in anything... but i was playing in slippers on concrete when i was little; if my feet weren't touching the ground... I was good to go.

But there definitely are shoes that have a higher comfort level for me and it affects how i play on the court and how long i last.

Comfort and performance are two different things though, and they arent necessarily connected.

By the way...

These are all super imposed images or photoshops of images Nike takes of their athletes during visits to the Beav or other events... "Stock photos"

They put whatever kicks on the guys they need to for Marketing purposes.

I forgot the Marketing Company Marketing uses... but most of its contracted out.

^That would explain why Deron Williams's model changes in one of the images. Must have been a gaffe by the marketing company.

That aside, I was actually fooled by these photos for once. Usually, Nike's press photos are pretty obviously photoshopped—just look at the sneakers/clothing in any Nike Tennis marketing photo—but these are pretty well done.

I also highly doubt Lebron will be wearing anything besides his own shoes. Especially since the Lebron IX Elite's are trying around Olympic times. If they do make an air max version i hope they have the zoom air encased in it like the Lebron 9 Elites are supposed to.

I'm kinda excited to see the Nike+ technology implemented in bball shoes... Nike's really all in on this concept

I'm liking the look of these, especially with that oversized swoosh. That's a design aspect I love to see in Nike's sneakers.

The flywire system used on the shoe is aesthetically pleasing as well. What I'm really intrigued about is how the two midsole options will perform.
