Bag is tough, but why is it worth 3k? Looks like its just cloth material. I'd rather take a keepall and a carryall for that price and have left over money.

it looks velvety to me but i couldnt say, dope bag but i wouldnt have the baby blue luggage tag there

im almost positive lv never used monogram lining with their damier line bags so im gonna call that as fake, but of course your best bet is to check it at an lv store as im not 100% sure either

I guess I never thought for a second it might be fake as he has his own collection of LV and Gucci shoes that I can vouch for and was super pressed to get the messenger, but I wasn't around when he bought it so idk. I asked the customer service rep about taking it into a store to see if it's legit after reading a few of you all's post and surprisingly the dude I spoke to said "that's not a service we provide and honestly they may not be able to tell" I scratched my head on that, how wouldn't the SA's be able to tell the real from the fake? As for the lining up up in arms about that, after talking to the SA, first time I called she was like if he bought in NY like he said he did, it might of been part of collection that was for a specific run, second time I called and spoke to the dude, he said every season they change something so it's hard to say and since LV doesn't have sales he could've bought it in Sept 09, but it could've been a 08 bag. Then he made it even more confusing saying you know the Damier has been around since like 1888 and jokingly added I would imagine the designs and details would have to change

but with all that said, giving the bag back seems like the easiest thing to do. Hell I've been without my money for this long what awhile longer until he sells it

Also..usually on damier ebenes the leather lining outside is a dark brown. They don't use the light brown leather that patinas. That's why alot of people or mainly females use damier bags during rainy/winter seasons because you can beat it up and it still looks good.

I just threw up looking at those Gucci jackets....

Disgusting...

And that pic was my cue for another hiatus from this thread.

I own both Bastille and Abbesses and it looks like a combination of both. The Vachetta leather wasn't found on Damier Canvas models either not the beige line. The new model with the red lining is Bastille, and is way different than what you got. If I were you, I'd try to get the money

.

New additions ( except the Damier Graphite Wallet and Belt ):

Well, I got on pieces meaning I first got the buckle from a known seller on ebay and got it for 245$ and the strap for 350$ from ebay. A friend that has a large Hermes collection confirmed they were both authentique. It was hard finding the strap in a size 105 but managed to do so. It is Black / Orange. I was a little worried when I saw the dust-bag though, I thought it should have a dust-bag only for the buckle and it was grey but this guy told me that the strap comes in that dust-bag so it was ok. Hermes is better than LV quality-wise, looking forward to get some other buckles and straps. I love how they are interchangeable and you can get some nice combinations, that's a really cool thing.

bag is bang bang -

and LV doesnt want to be in the business of taking responsibility for 2nd hand purchases...wheres the value in that?  First off they want you to buy it from them as you see they are the only supplier...and 2nd with how good some fakes are why would they want to take the chance and have to train all the SAs to tell people whats what- then be liable when somebody finds out the SA was wrong-

Lmao @ "bang bang" reminds me of that video dude put a diamond tester to his jewelry. But yeah makes perfect sense. At first I was 75% sure that it was real even after reading you all comments yesterday but when I spoke to him today and I asked if he called about the receipt. This dude tells me, he didn't physically buy it hisself he gave the money to a friend that was going to the LV store in Soho and they got the bag for him and brought it back to school. So I asked how much was the bag, he says he gave him $1155. So I start laughing he's like what's funny. I reply saying "you say your friend is a fresh LV person cause of his parents but he's broke, looks like he used you as a come up.
roll.gif
I'll leave you to fix that situation in the meantime your bag will be waiting on you and as for my money..."
I'm so glad I found this site but on an off note that is crazy that people making fake louis and gucci have stepped their game up

There are certainly well made fakes out there, from bags to watches.
You can buy a crappy fake for $30-$50 at China Town or a $200-$300 well made w/ real leather fake online that not many can tell the difference.

I guess that's the thing I don't get the people who are willing to pay 200-300 for something they know is fake. At least the 30-50 dollar person is like I know it's fake but if you don't know me you'll think it's real. Now I tell chicks all the time, I'd personally rather you have a Coach bag with LV money inside than A LV bag with Old Navy money inside lol.

definitely and thats the logic people should go by, but sadly its not.  I buy this stuff with extra play money.  I won't dabble into emergency funds or do pay check to pay check just to look fly.  If I don't got it, I'll just go shopping at target or some cheaper alternative.  Nothing wrong at all.

aside from the fading jacket..i like all of the above. Only if I had funds to buy all of them.

no hate but i think that hermes might be fake. i have the black one and the leather is smooth, not sure they made one with the grain leather like yours. also, pretty sure the strap doesn't come with a dust bag, only the buckle does and its not an orange bag, its more of a beige...

Gonna grab some quick pics of some of my stuff in abit!

BUT!

Does anyone have the GUCCI 1627 OR GUCCI 1622? I just saw em in the Holt Renfrew catalogue and gonna pick up either one for the summer....how big are they? do they fit nice?
