if you go 16-0 you deserve coach of the year no matter what. I might get hate for this but i think Belichick is the best coach ever. The way he prepares histeam for EVERYTHING, EVERY week is unprecedented IMO. It's really facsinating how he keeps everyone on the same page and keeps every one in line.

you know what? you're right... a coach illegally videotaping other teams signals for years is really unprecedented. i've heard of other guys who just look across the other sideline and try to pick something up here and there, but Belichick really took it to the next level. hiring pro photographers to go undercover, intercepting radio signals, the whole thing. just for that, not only does he deserve the COY over other legitimate candidates, he should definitely get an award from the CIA as well for his work in the field of surveillance.
i'm sorry for doubting Belichick's GOAT status. the greatest coach of all time would definitely have something like that on his record.

MM was robbed... 13-3 with the most inexperienced, young team in the NFL... in a division with a defending superbowl team and 2 competing wild card teams.
