Basically there were people camping out since Thursday and that was fine. These campers (roughly 47 of them) were given wrist bands with their number in line on Friday at around 6pm and at the same time everyone was told by the store manager that anyone with a wrist band is GUARANTEED a pair on release day Saturday.

Come Saturday morning, most of these people have gone home the night before as they already have wrist bands and there was a line of new people. At 6am there were about 18 people including myself (I live about 3 hours away from London so couldn't camp out early). The release was to start at 12pm and at about 10am the store announced the news about the wrist bands and that after they were all accounted for, they have about 20 pairs left for the people who have just lined up. This was abit of a relief to hear but we weren't going to get too excited yet.

Come 12pm, there was chaos. The Saturday line now up to about 50 people and none of the newcomers were told of the situation. The wrist band holders were allowed to enter 2 at a time according to their numbers. However, before they were allowed to enter the store to buy/try on a pair, their foot size was asked to make sure they still had the sizes. This was were things started to become messy, holders of the wrist bands who were told they are GUARANTEED to get a pair now do not get any at all as they do not have their sizes anymore. I saw this one guy who was close to TEARS and all they could say was "sorry mate". Also about the sizes, one minute they were like "yeah we got this size left" and the other minute they're like "oh sorry we've only got 3 boxes left". Like whaaat ?! Make up uour mind !

At one point they also said that people with no wrist bands must now go home as you no longer have a chance of obtaining the shoes. However, there were a couple of guys who were allowed in with no wrist bands and came waaaaaayyyyy after i did. How is that fair ?!

Also, after all this was done. There was no apology done, they just pretty much shooed us off and told us to go away. They told the bouncers to this and no member of the store actually told us this personally.

Sorry its abit of a long story.

Oops. Putting Vancity74 to rest.

Anyway, I'd love to hear a story about this weekend's release from an NT'er.

@lonestar181 wow sounds crazy you travel 3 hours is madness bro. Yea so I assume there was 50-90 pairs for sale? I would be pissed too if I travel far and expect some bs like that. Ebay prices on these 1k-2k crazy!

48 is the worst place for a campout anyway.
Sorry to hear though.

1948 are the worst place for a limited release, there are stories like yours repeated time after time about the place, Ordinary punters get screwed over but the usual suspects always get a pair and bang straight on ebay, Nike management need to take a serious look at this place but they probably couldn't care less anyway, at least you weren't there since Thursday and supposedly guaranteed a pair, Sounds like the Lebron Corks release when people queuing could not get a pair but certain people getting there later did

I doubt Nike cares. 21 Mercer, for example, pretty much exists only to serve friends and family. Just how the game goes.

Sorry to hear you didn't get your pair though. I probably would've started crying, personally.

If you are referring to the flyknit ones (different thread) check out RRS.

I've been desperately looking for ages for a pair of blue glow trainers in size 12.5 (or close) and have had zero luck.

What happened? How was it handled? I'm assuming it was people getting hooked up by friends that work there and people waiting didn't get anything?

Updated now with stock pics of all released colorways (minus one or two). Credit urbanwaste for compiling pics.

I left a section at the bottom for future releases which I can update if anyone just PMs me a stock pic (but feel free to continue to post pics in the thread as well).

I'm trying to pick up a pair of Orange Flyknit Racers, and think I've located a pair. If I'm not planning to do much running, are you suggesting I size these the same as Trainers/Lunars? Thanks!

Been checking flyknits out for a little while now. I think Im ready to purchase my first pair and I've narrowed it down to two colorways...now I'd just like a little help locating them for retail in my size. I've read through the past 7-8pages gathering as much info as possible, checking out the various sites.

Are either of these pairs available for retail anywhere in a 9.5US. Thanks!

...also I've pretty much gathered these run TTS...correct? Are they at all narrow like some nike runners tend to be or not really?

True to size is fine in the Flyknit Trainer. Your problem is going to be finding those colorways at retail in a 9.5, especially the white/black pair.

first of all I second that it will be difficult to find that color at retail, second I'd like to point out that the trainer and lunar are two totally different shoe experiences and even a slightly dissimilar fit.

Pros/Cons of each?

Is it the just the soles that are different? Uppers are completely the same on both models or no?

Are materials higher quality on trainers vs lunars? Comfort on both?

Thanks!

TTS (same size as my AM1, maybe that helps).

You probably saw some guy's photo of trainers sizing made on their first GR run on Olympics. He said you have 1.5 thumb space in forefoot when you go tts. So I thought I'll be safe going 0.5 sz down. I was wrong, they were very tight, so I returned them. Yes, I have wide forefoot, but on my tts pair it's still a bit less then 1 thumb of free space in forefoot. And it is my tts according to measurements, not just personal experience.

finally speaking up after a long time lurking, hi all! a word on my opinion in sizing.  I fin the trainers run tts (based on nike and jordan) the racers and lunar and chukka run big by half a size imo (the first time I have ever stepped down to 10 in nike from 10.5.  I prefer this shoe snug for a sock like fit.  prefer the trainers above all, in style while they offer middling comfort.

Upper on the Racers is MUCH thinner. You can basically see your sock through the upper.

Depends on the person: if your foot is wide and how you like your shoes to fit. Its probably 60/40 for sizing .5 down or TTS. I wear a 9.5 in Dunks, Frees, and Jordans and 9's in Flyknit Trainers. The 9's are a snug fit and with time they mold comfortably to your feet. If you like a relaxed fit with a little room or you have wide feet, then go TTS.

Thanks for the replies guys. Gunna go TTS and grab my first pair, just trying to decide on a colorway. Prly gunna be a pair of Lunars instead of trainers as they seem to be easier to find.

Question about road runner sports:

I bought a pair of volt trainers and wore them a few times but they're too loud for me. Do you think they will allow me to exchange it for the black racers? They say they have a 90 day wear policy or something like that
