Got my white trainers in today. We're more worn than I had expected, but washed with Jason markk and am going to throw in the washer tomorrow.

Yea man do that.

Wish I had pics to prove it but i made my dirty volt flyknit ones look damn near brand new after a run in the washing machine.

Doesn't hurt them at all. I suggest pre-treating.

I want to start painting my flyknits do you guys use angelus FLAT paints?

and do you guys use a spray or a brush?

thanks in advance

During the summer and fall I dont rock socks with the racers or trainers...my foot dont sweat so that's a good thing and I wash mine once every 2-3 months.

Does anyone here wear their trainers/racers without socks? Not sure if that's a common thing to do or if that's just gross. Have a pair of trainers that are a little too tight when I have socks on so i'm debating what to do with em

I never rock shoes without socks. Idk I just cant haha

Anyways for those who do, I recommend using (french) terry insoles.

Something like this would work
Amazon product ASIN B001G0NSW0

Does anybody have the FTL SKU for Hyper Jades? Looking to stock locate since my FTL/HOH doesn't seem to carry them. Was never a huge fan of them, but they're really starting to grow on me especially with a bday coupon

It's up to you what kind of paint you want to use.. You can always use a duller to lower the shine to your liking.. Angelus and alot of patience..I use a small set of brushes and and take my time don't rush it and do coats... I'm assuming you mean the flyknit so wouldn't hurt to mix some fabric medium for better results.

I don't get it

I think it's an instagram thing.

Dudes take more pics with those garbage ikea trees in their shoes than their feet - lol

i guess you could use shoe trees to keep the shape of the shoe, but seems like overkill unless you are squishing your shoes.  they are sneakers and will hold their shape

shoetrees are used for leather shoes to absorb the moisture from wearing.  so you could use them in all leather cp's and similar shoes, but using for flyknits is harder to justify

Damb flyknit don't lose its shape

I can see using shoetrees on flyknit if they were on display

Yeah I've said this before . Those metal curved shoe tree things are more of a photoshoot accessory than an actual shoe tree.

Dudes will get a fresh pair of shoes delivered, take out the stuffing paper, put the metal shoe tree in, then take a pic .

I don't use shoetrees in my sneakers, only my wingtips and captoes. I probably should use them to wick out and absorb the moisture since I've been wearing the racers in 80* with no socks recently. I feel like it would stretch out the material though. At least the shoe trees I have def would because they have a crazy spring in them.

I honestly would buy nice shoe trees over the ikea ones but the ikea ones are so cheap, and I just not that serious to spend 10$ or whatever price for nice ones for all my kicks.
It's honestly just habit to stick a pair in my kicks when I first get em, even if there's no reason for it

Fk are just running shoes that is breathable...

here is a quick 411 from business insider:
WHY DO I NEED SHOE TREES?
Our feet sweat throughout the day, and the leather and lining of our shoes absorb all that moisture. This can cause the lining to rot, your shoes to stink, and the leather to crack over time, thereby ruining expensive footwear.

A shoe tree holds a shoe in its proper shape so it dries out correctly, and keeps the leather from cracking by wicking away moisture. The absorbent wood also helps dry out the lining of shoes so that they don't rot from the inside out.

^ Make him pony up for that charge .

In the future, just do 2 separate orders. (And if possible, place the 2nd order after the 1st has already shipped, that way DF can't combine the orders into 1 which will cause Customs charges).

That's my nightmare lol. I never order anything from overseas (which sucks because Brazilian sellers on eBay have quite good Flyknit auctions).

lol sorry for asking why u guys use a shoetree in flyknits, i didnt know it would turn in to an international debate about why they are used in general...

only time i use shoetrees are in my expensive leather shoes to keep the form and absorb the moisture so it doesnt ruin the leather... now for sneakers with holes in them... that is beyond me...
