They probably just lost the original box to your shoes or it was damaged beyond repair and replaced them with their RRS box.

@kjai yeah i bought some blue lagoons but it came in the RRS box. But the flyknit free runs came in the nik box. Idk man

@md177 haha they're meant to be worn, and they fit me so that's all that matters.  I won't be parting with them ever so it's only fitting that they be custom fit to my foot.

Cobbler's the one that charges like $125 for the sole swap right?

I understand that.. I just wanted to see these on feet.. Still deciding if I'm gonna keep any pairs from the cobbler..

They don't have a RRS box... mine came in normal Nike box. But I bought this in the summer, not sure if things have changed since then.

Mine came in this box. But i bought a pair of flyknit free runs and it came in the nike box

Flyknit racers still come in regular Nike racer boxes from RRS

If anyone's selling a size 10 in the black/white/volt's, hit me up. Canadian here, our FTL's won't get **** :frown:

Canadian footlocker had a fsr for a while online... NDC had them in limited sizes before anywhere else in the world (to NT knowledge). NDC will prob release a fsr soon again, and I would imagine the stores will have them.

their stock was very limited... talked to a friend who works there. nothing came to the footlockers on vancouver island which i'm not surprised... called a few places in vancouver and the same thing they never got anything...

what is the proper way to cutting the flywire? I was thinking of using a thread cutting knife tool. whatever it's called

The volt really isn't as bad as you're all making it out to be. I don't want to say it's typical NT group think, but maybe just consider these a different shoe and not a perfect retro or restock and it'll sit better with you.

I'm not a huge fan of the original black/white racers or trainers but these just look bad to me. They should have added 1 more volt accent to balance the shoe, the swoosh, midsole, hell even the tongue tab would have been nice but it just looks like a lazy attempt at a "retro" but making that little patented Nike tweak.

^ my wife's mc trainer toebox shrunk up like that while I was making some repairs to one of her shoes.

yeah, these swaps were done a different way.. so in a sense, they ended up being 1/4-1/2 size smaller than when I sent them.. :frown:

I have to wear some with no insoles or find a 1/2 size smaller insole to make it work..

1. Remove the laces.

2. Cut each Flywire where it meets at the top by each lace hole.

3. With tweezers, pull out each FW strand from the base.

4. With all the FW sticking out from the base, create a bit of tension by slightly pulling each individual FW strand and cut with an exacto knife or surg scissors as close as possible toward the base.

5. Repeat pulling and cutting until satisfied.

A Volt Swoosh would have been a great look!
