Not a fan of the turquoise. I had a pair and returned them and copped white/blacks when they were on sale.

The upper does not have enough contrast between the blue and grey

You're completely correct my good man! Unfortunately I wasn't able to order them on NDC, and the only racers on .DK (besides the pricetag of roughly $240 ish retail, none in clearance) are the cheetos, clorine and a few sizes blk/wht. And I really prefer the looks and feel og the racer (allready have the reds and orange), so I decided to go on a hunt or sell them, so I could get the volt racers, which happily for me endes perfect!
And as a side bonus, then the nice GLS-man droppes by the other day with another pair of band new volt trainers to me, so they're still in my humble collection. Now im on the hunt for racers in other Colors that I don't have, for less than DK retail, seems to get a bit hard, but I hope for the best! ;-)

Ahhh okay sorry for the misunderstanding fam, those prices are crazy hah. Glad you got what YOU wanted which is most important.
 
Just picked up a pair of trainers on RRS for $89.96 shipped.

On sale price is $109.95, but VIP price is $98.96, and VIP membership fee is on sale $1.99 online when you check out.

Googled for a coupon code, and found CX13C262 on ultimatecoupons.com, which gave me an extra $10 off. Not too many good colors or sizes left, but free shipping, so trigger pulled.

Good point.  Although, I do think that this colorway isn't meant to be too contrasty, unless you're talking about the white swoosh and mid sole.  I think the grey and turquoise colors are supposed to meld together to form a hybrid of the two, which works, in my opinion.  The photos above actually persuaded me to cop a pair from NDC. 

To each their own, though.

There's a pair of used size 9 Red Trainers on eBay right now, but they don't come with the box and they have ribbon laces.

Kinda looks like the guy just bought some ribbon style laces and put them in cause they have blue tips on them
 
in the sellers defense (if i'm looking at the right listing), he states that he used them for a few runs, not everyone keeps shoe boxes around and those laces have blue tips on them...my guess is he swapped it out so it wouldn't become undone as much as the regular laces would during a run.
 
Hmmm idk he doesn't guarantee 100% authentic and doesn't do returns lol knda sketch if he's a "power seller"
 
Also quick question, Lukes Locker... Legit site?? Found it to be weird that they have a full size run in red racers lol
