Heat are 9-1 without Wade....You think Durant would be 9-1 without Westbrook doubt it. Bron is having statistically one of the best season's ever. Dude had 4 steals and numerous defensive plays down the stretch. He can just effect the overall scope of the game in ways Durant never will be able too.

Even though that stat line clearly shows who dominated it doesn't do how much he dominated the game justice... He was that GOOD tonight.

Nah, LeBron always had it. This performance was just extra solid.

Nah...To me this only shows the inefficiencies of having two mega stars on the same team. If not for Wade getting hurt, I would say KD would've took it, but now that Lebron has  had the floor to himself to recoup, it's a different story.

Who are you referring to here? The ignorant masses? If so, bravo. You pointed out the ignorant masses are ignorant.

Lebron was always the MVP. Not a game by game basis just everyone trying to find a reason NOT

to vote for him and OKC blowing them out was a damn good opportunity .

Funny because before the 7 games prior to the ATL game saying anyone outside of LeBron would be a laughing matter (it still should have but I understand short term memory is more dominant in sports fans)

LeBron has been head and shoulders ahead of everyone mentioned... Prior to that 6 game slump he was threatening to top Mike's All Time PER % something that no one has come close to since he posted it. He's still top 10 in damn near every statistical category that counts and ranked 19th in assist as a SMALL FORWARD.

I think KD still ends up winning the MVP.

The Thunder are probably gonna end with the best record in the West and I don't think the Heat can catch the Bulls for the best in the East, so I think that pushes Durant over the top.

I think LeBron is more deserving though.

It was all about the finish though. At a point, Lebron was struggling while KD and the Thunder were excelling toward another level. At that pace, I saw Durant winning it. Now it's swaying back to Lebron has the favorite. Nothing wrong with projection for sake of argument and public perception does plant a seed in the mind of voters. Make no mistake.

I fully get where you're coming from... But minus that 6-7 game slump Bron went through before that ATL game he's been the undisputed MVP since the season started.   Don't get me wrong KD is having a helluva year but even still its in no way close to what BASED is doing this season.

No. That's just the media. People who watch basketball all the time understand LBJ has been the MVP all along. Dude is the best 2-way player in the game by far right now. It's a joke what LBJ does on the court

Agree 100%
Westbrook is carrying OKC as much as Durant do.. He really improved his game this year..

Durant deserves it just as much plus they will more than likely finish with top seed in a more competitive West, would shock me if he does not win to be honest.

Let me guess... you've watched every NBA game this year?

#clown... i like how u left out the 2nd statement

it was a general a statement for those who are way into PER and various metrics ... the good ol' eye test still works ... and why would i watch every game ... first off i don't vote ... 2nd of all each team doesn't have an MVP candidate ... good job ...

there are things that happen in a game that if u only go by statistics u won't see ...

bron had a monster game ... on both sides ... durant wasn't at his best ... we'll see who can close it out in the last 2 weeks ... if i had a vote, best record would influence me somewhat ... but i don't vote

Funny since you basically endorsed his front-runner too...ultimately, his type of reply is not really surprising

But yea, stats and my eye test tell me LBJ is the MVP.

Based on what?

The play of Russy, Harden & Ibaka is honestly more responsible for them being tops in the West than KD's play, he's just the big fish so he gets the credit.  You can't say that for the Heat... Anyone whose watched their games you can see that their level of play decreases DRASTICALLY when Bron's not out there. Offensively & Defensively their game decreases dramatically.

Hell last night in the 1st half he left early in the 2nd they subbed in Wade & bosh when were down 1 by the time he checked back in the game that qtr they were down 8 or 9, they went into the half up 1.  Same thing happened in the 3rd/early 4th they were up 9 he went out the lead shrunk to 1 when he sat down.

Before last night's game I had KD ahead of LBJ...but after Lebron showed up I have them at a tie now.
I think if KD gets the scoring title, it'll give him a small bump and help him out in the MVP race even more.

Lebron should win it.

Yesterday's game should have no bearing on the final vote. Neither should the game last week. The standings at the end should have no bearing either. I mean they are basically going to have the same record give or take 2 games maybe.

Lebron's impact on defense is what sets him apart. Not to mention he is the most efficient player in the league but people like to ignore that for some reason

Durant has had a great season but what Bron does, and is asked to do on defense is insane. I still remember that LA game a few weeks back where he had to guard Gasol because Bosh was out of the game. That boggles my mind.
