Air Jordan IX Black/Photo Blue... first pics via Modernnotoriety.com

Had to pick up 2 pairs for associates of mine this morning...Good luck to you guys trynna resell...I was the ONLY person on line this morning.

Also, glue stains all around the midsole and the leather feels as bad as I've ever seen on a pair of retros...reminds me of the '06 mili iv's. Definitely of the lowest quality that JB uses. Nubuck feels good though...nice and short, not that long suede feeling like the most recent black v retro.
 
Woke up around 9 and ordered off of easbay off of my phone (which was VERY quick, I might do that again). I liked these since the day I saw them. I would have preferred the Slim Jenkins colorway, but they won't release around me so I have no problem settling for these. Now it is time for the IVs, CG IX, and the XI to round out the year.
 
I went in this morning to pick em up, but i decided to try to order these online through my phone, Got my order #, drove back home & made breakfast. I wasnt gonna pick these cuz I got the Slim Jenkins (Daniel Bryan voice* YES!!) but I notice the blue on these were diff so I said why not lol

Wanted to get these in case I missed out on the Slim's, but I really do like this CW in person.  My pair don't have any extra glue or visible flaws.  The leather is less shiny than the pictures showed, but it still has that smooth shine to it.  The blue stitching had a lot of people not liking these, but I have to say I like it on feet.  These are a good looking shoe for those that rock their pick ups.  Stacked my FNL rewards and coupon, got em for $40 off before tax.  So I'm happy with my pickup.

Same here. Very happy with my pair for $120. I can understand them sitting at $160 though.
No extra glue or other screw ups on my pair. Quality is on par with the Kilroys, I don't have Ellis or Montana to compare quality to those though.
 
There is no room for a profit on these. Why would anyone try to resell these when raptors and kilroys had no resell value after fees and shipping you make no money if you pay retail. These are being sold for even less than $200 online. Some people are horrible with business. :smh:
 
These dont look too bad. Not a big fan of blue but if these sit , then I'll cop. Im talkin SIT SIT. Like after the new year sit! lol

It's great to see these are still available on all of the major sites at 12 PM (PST) on release day. It sends a message to JB that every retro they release won't sell out instantly.
 

I still want to get these, but not right now.

What the general consensus on how the IX's fit? I went .5 down on the IV's and have plenty of room in the toebox.

First shoe I'd honestly go a half size up with. My 12's fit like a glove almost to tight with no toe room.

I got y'all beat, I could have gotten them for 91 total, but they were wack! I knew instantly these wouldn't sell out. If you thought you could flip these LMAO! I feel like alot of people are just buying these because its another retro. These would have to be straight up 65-70 to buy these, and I wouldn't buy them now because of all the heat coming. Slim Jenkins go hella hard, and I don't care what you say, its damn near the same colorway. These were a fail.

I truly understand and its your money not mines. I also passed them up because I still can't get over the blue stitching on them.

Once the well runs dry with holiday XI releases, things might calm down some overall.  The brand will still move retros, but Retro+ colorways like these that people have zero childhood attachment to will go back to hitting clearance racks like they did back in the day.  Anyone trying to flip these basically has zero business sense to speak of.
 
^ same here they look clean. i'm surprised these are still available .. if these are still there by the middle of the week i think i'm gonna pick em up
