On sale at Culture Kings in Australia, just picked up the Pale Shale version for $90AUD shipped locally (Australia). The $USD being what it is might be worth a purchase from these guys and may work out cheaper than retail. $80 + $35 Shipping is great value. $1 AUD is 75c US

I'm going to try and hold out since I have Nike gift cards. They almost have to release them sooner or later.

How did that Aussie shop get them so far in advance of other int'l shops, who seem to be releasing them this weekend?

Not limited? Only sold in Champ's, only sat in a couple of spots because of huge snow storms in the south and people not knowing about them. The champs nearest to D.C. never even got them, the Nike store in DC didn't get them.

I wish nike publish release data so arguments like this wouldn't be based on personal experience.

On appearance you can't argue that they're different which can be polarizing.

Ironically the shoe you had a hard time getting, the pro bowls, sat here and ended up posted on sneaker steals for under retail.

Chill. At the end of the day, it's a personal preference. Just agree to disagree or take that to email or private messages.

At the end of the day, we're all essentially about the same thing and that's the early Trainer models and all the new colors, packs, collections, etc. I respect anybody who's helping to keep that appreciation alive decades after the AT1's original release.

Y'all are making me look like a liar for telling buddy how chill everybody in this thread was :lol:.

Got these light redwood AT 1's in a week or two ago and I'm finally putting the pics up. They're nice (leather is buttery) but the color is kinda dull. My 10-year old daughter told me it looks like lipstick..

Lol, I don't know about lipstick but I definitely get it. But that's why I like them so much. They're a softer, different color than we're used to getting but it's muted and not like all the vibrant, flamboyant stuff that's out there.

I can't tell you how much I dislike it when they try to force a color on us (bright crimson) by slapping it on every other model. A shoe like the Revis Islands would've been dope in any plain but strong shade, but they used that hot pink crap lol.

Clearly a personal preference but I say rock the Redwoods with respect b/c of how dope they are lol.

I hear you, man, and I actually totally agree. I don´t care if the "sand, water, sky" idea for the colors of this pack was a gimmick or not, I respect the originality in the color shades. For anyone wondering, it definitely is a muted tone of pink. My daughter´s all about lipstick, earrings, etc., at her age now, so it´s no wonder she went with that comparison lol..
 
^ really depends on the buyer and seller. They're rare enough these days that they could easily go in the $140-160 range, but could go for less since there aren't a lot of people willing to pay more than $120 or so for them.
 
That's one of the samples with the mesh toe. I'd love to see them actually come out.
 
^^the infrared AT1s from a few years ago had the mesh toe and decent quality, too bad they ODed on the iinfrared sole.
