It's the Difference between a Jump Shot & a Lay-Up:
Temp Fade = Fade from the Temples of your Head, all the way around the Head
Taper Fade = OXYMORON... Temp Fade & Taper's are Two Different Things. A Taper is fading the hair within a smaller area of the head. Usually no more than 1-2 inches from Bare Skin in the Back & Sides.
- Essentially, if you're truly talking about a Taper, there's no need for the word Fade. If you're not talking about a Taper, then it's a Fade, and leave the word "taper" out of it.

My barber was doin taper fades in prison with a razor and a comb. My fades come out throwed so i beleive him.
