Cap would get wassshhhhhhheeeddddddd by Spidey if he really wanted to.....even Tony will get washed....spidey evens up better with Thor or Hulk...YA totally under estimating him based on his frame, he's faster than most avengers, can practically see your punch coming before you even think of swinging, he's stronger than IM and Cap, and he can practically fly...lol

Marvel Directing Duo Joe and Anthony Russo Ink First-Look Deal With Sony Pictures

The duo next directs “Captain America: Civil War” for Marvel, with Sony’s Spider-Man set to make an appearance “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” directors Joe and Anthony Russo have entered into a three-year first-look deal for feature films with Sony Pictures Entertainment, the company announced Tuesday.

The news comes after Marvel and Sony announced a partnership that would introduce a new Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, before headlining his own solo film.

“Joe and Anthony Russo are terrifically exciting filmmakers with a sensibility that matches the tastes of audiences worldwide,” said Columbia Pictures President Doug Belgrad in a statement.

The Russos’ deal with Sony begins in April.

“We’re thrilled to make a home at Sony Pictures, and to be partnering with the entire team,” the directors said. “The studio has created an environment that is not only collaborative, but truly filmmaker-friendly and we’re excited to begin developing both new and ambitious material with them.”

The Russos are directing “Captain America: Civil War,” where the new Spidey is expected to make his first appearance before his own film is released in 2017. Most recently, Drew Goddard was said to be directing though insiders later cautioned, “Drew has not yet met with Marvel but will soon; along with several others.”

When doc oc became superior superman Spoiler alert! He punched a villain and killed him, even doc oc didn't know how much strength that body held and how much peter parker held back his punches.

Real talk, physics wise, Spidey would turn captain's jaws into dust with one punch. His spine would fly out of his shoulders with an uppercut.

HS Spidey should get washed by a strategist like Cap.

Spidey can lift 15 tons with reflexes way above normal humans, I don't think it would be that easy, regardless of how skilled you are.
Plus Spidey sense.

Writers will pretend like experience should even things out or even make him win.

It's really just all about Spidey being a kid and not going full strength and deciding to break some bones that'd make it even or cause him to lose.

I think we've gotta remember that although the characters are based off the comics, the characters are in the MCU. We haven't seen anyone in the MCU that can/has stand up to the damage that the hulk has been able to dish out IN THE MOVIES. If this new Spider-Man is anything like the amazing spider man, or even Toby Maguire's Spider-Man, he's not competing with hulk level strength.

This definitely doesn't look like strength that comes any where near the hulks

Or Thor's for that matter

Would have to "even up" with these movie versions of Thor and Hulk. I just don't see it happening.
Based on this footage alone I think cap would do pretty well against any movie spider man we've seen.

No one ever said Spidey was near Hulk or Thor's strength levels, but he should still be stronger than Cap.

I'm reluctant to say stronger than Iron Man, cuz IM did go toe to toe with Thor for a bit in the first movie.

It's going to be even between Cap and Spidey. Both would be holding back a lot too.

Look at the quote I was responding to.
He stated "spidey evens up better with Thor or Hulk" and that he would wash cap. I'm saying that just based on their depictions in movies (no reference to comic books) spider man would get demolished by Thor and Hulk. But based on past movies and the way spider man fights, and based on the fights we see cap go through in the movies I think it would be more than a fair fight between cap and Spider-Man

I'm assuming he meant that Spidey would make up his lack of strength in a fight against Thor or the Hulk in other ways.

I mean he could try, but if you look at how the Spider-Man from the movies has fought, like when he was facing Lizard he wasn't winning by any large margin. There's just no way he would be anything but overwhelmed if he was facing hulk or Thor, who are both magnitudes over the lizard or even electro. You could literally drop a building on those two and they'd be fine. What could Spider-Man possibly do to them?

Solely based on their performance in the movies.

Even movie Spider-Man would wash cap, he took hits from the sandman on tobeys version and went toe to toe with villains that are/above his equal(lizard man and green goblin) which are both superior to Captain America. It would be utterly shameful if they let Captain America beat out Spidey. Hulk>Thor>>>>Ironman>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Spiderman>>>>>>>>>>>Captain America>>>Hawk-eye/Blackwidow.

From what I see here I think Captain America would do just fine in terms of taking damage and dealing it himself. Look at him fighting Loki. Who may not be stronger than Thor but he's gotta be stronger than anything Spider-Man has fought.

Comic Spider-Man >>>> Movie Spider-Man.

We shouldn't be counting sony's Spidey. Marvel is going to be building to a movie Spidey that's going to take on 6 villains at once. He's going to be more bad *** than the other two incarnations lol

True I said all that assuming the new Spider-Man is similar to the old ones.

If it's the case that Spider-Man is more true to his comicbook self than Captain really doesn't stand a chance.

Those past Spidey movies don't count though.

No reason it won't be a similar Spider-Man in terms of ability
That's an assumption. Not to mention you're not even really taking all 5 past movies in to account when it comes to strength based feats.

I don't see why we're comparing past Spidey movies in this topic. Whatever hero he goes up against on the Avengers that has super strength he'll hold his own. As said he's closer to Hulk and Thor than he is to Cap.

I said at the begining of the convo that ASSUMING Spider-Man was like any of the past movie ones. IF he is I'd say he closer in strength to how cap is depicted in the movies than what Thor and Hulk have showed in the movies.

Yeah I wouldn't assume that.

Kind of a non-starter then.
