So many people.
- "Look what Pippen did when Jordan left. Nothing."
- "Nothing? He was a bad call away from the Finals."
- "What are you talking about?"
- "A foul was called on Pippen after he blocked a 3, and that resulted in 3 free throws, and the Bulls failed to advance. Should have been able to contend for a 4-peat, but a bad call screwed that up."

Suuuure, bud.
Just music. That's all they had.
Like I said earlier (along with others), they made every game exciting. Not like 'smoke-screen and mirrors' exciting (I'm sure you have no ideawhat that means), but actually exciting. They pumped relevant backstories to the players in the games, professionally analyzed recent matchups between the twoteams, and they researched random (but very important!) facts about the players and games. That last one is what really sets them apart from everything beforethem and everything since.

I was pretty young when this happened i guess, but what the hell happened? Is there a video? If thats the picture of the foul thenat the refs.
In Game Five, back at the Garden, the Knicks squandered a six-point lead midway through the fourth quarter, and B.J. Armstrong's jumper gave Chicago a one-point lead (86-85) inside the final minute. Ewing missed two free throws, but the Knicks had one final shot, trailing by one with less than 10 seconds left. Davis took it, with Pippen closing in, a jumper from the top of the key on the Seventh Avenue end that sailed wide.
That's when Hue Hollins' whistle blew.
Foul, Pippen. On the shot. With 2.1 seconds left.
In front of the stunned Bulls' bench, Davis, the youngest player on the floor, calmly nailed the two biggest free throws of his career. Moments later, Mason broke up the Bulls' final inbound pass, and it ended 87-86.
That was Game 5, and the series was tied 2-2, with Game 6 in Chicago. The Bulls won Game 6 by a score of 93-79.
The Knicks went on to beat the Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals, and then went on to lose to the Rockets in the NBA Finals.
Should have been the Bulls.
*edit* I guess somewhere along the way, my memory has failed me, as it turns out that this Pippen 'foul' was in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, notthe Eastern Conference Finals. Now I know, so I'll be sure to get that right in future arguments with friends.Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semis with the series tied at 2-2 with thenext game being in Chicago.

NBA ON NBC>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>ANY SPORTS COVERAGE ON ANY CHANNEL IN HISTORY
truth
TNT Basketball>NBA on NBC
NBA on NBC was like a movie. The atmosphere they created and the way they did things made their every airing like a huge production.
NBA on NBC is easily the GOAT. The presentation was so sophisticated and the picture was so rich and vibrant, like HDTV before HDTV. TNT is definitely the bestnow though.

NBA on TNT is nice, but for a completely different reason. They're comical, with Sager's suits and Chuck's ramblings and Ernie's quips and the way their commentators call games.
NBA on ABC = NBA on ESPN
