Talk Talk "It's My Life" is :smokin

I always share this story when I think of this song.....when I was a youngin' I got hammered with my people in Miami. Smoking, taxing beers from 7/11 etc.

And we "borrowed" a car and this came on the radio as we drove to South Beach. And several Black and Latino young men were whylin' out to this record in what I believe was a Toyota Tercel.

I spent that night in county after an "altercation" with a couple of other dudes on the beach.

Still hard to believe this is the song that's the soundtrack to that night

Most underrated and under appreciated producer/songwriters in the history of music?

I would say so.

Mad artists got off covering their ****. Major artists. Sampled like crazy.

Sade - Nothing Can Come Between Us

It's a shame they (The Isley Bros)had to sell off the rights to their songs... :smh: Ernie Isley is one heck of a guitar player....

I've referenced this before, but I've seen Sade about 4 times over the years (possibly 5) dating back to the early 90s. As big a fan as I am of hers, I've never really thought about what she listens to. I do know she's a huuuge reggae fan. Interesting that she listens to Drake. Even sent him a 30th bday gift...
