Breaking Bad Thread - "El Camino" - A Breaking Bad Movie on Netflix 10/11

Because he's ambitious. Robbing houses can only get you so far and he took advantage of the opportunity to impress Walt and Jesse. It paid off since they recruited him for the heist.
And it might be hard to imagine, but the show ending after the final 16 really is for the best. Better to end on top than risk polluting a great series with a subpar season.

Agreed. You could see in his eyes how psyched he was to be down with the team. He was going to make sure he was going to hit one out of the park.

I fully agree on Todd trying to impress Walt and wanting to become part of the team and not a casualty himself.

Lol, this episode was pure gold to me. Last episode, I didn't care for that much because i seem to not like the pure emotional episodes, especially with Skylar *****ing constantly and crying :smh: I need some action, and this episode was sick. :smokin Hurry up week, I need a new episode!

And Lol at the dude driving the dump truck, he has to do so much dirty work and **** around with people hahahah... he needs a raise.
He's name is Bill Burr. He's a hilarious comedian. Check out his comedy special called Why Do I Do This?.

I remember Bill Burr on The Racial Draft skits on Chappelle Show

That's where i've seen him. Chappelle's show is greatness.

I'm gonna have to check out that special.

But in terms of the show he does a ton of dirtry work for everyone haha!

Real interested to see where they go with Todd and what kind of backstory there is with the kid...

All the talk of kids in the episode makes me wonder if Walt Jr. / Flynn is going to get murked. An enemy of Walt's could fill Jr.'s new car up with some bullet holes like Sylar has been fearing. We're still waiting for the Germans to play a bigger role in the storyline.

Why? They air at different times of the year anyway. Mad Men may get all the money from the network but I'm sure BB is only ending because the creator wants it to. TWD and BB fans always hating on MM.

Breaking Bad was cut a year short because of the MM budget.

Fan of both but this past season of MM was:rolleyes

MM also affected Walking Dead which caused for a repetitive, boring season. Next season is suppose to make up for it with the prison but MM affects AMC as a whole.

They should've canceled the Killing too and saved that money for other shows.

Why did Todd take Walter/Jesse's word so literally (Jesse said "No one other than us can ever know this robber went down. Nobody. Got it?" Todd said "yes sir.") but CLEARLY ignored Mike's protocol earlier on when he was introduced to Walt/Jesse? The protocol was something along the lines of never speak to them etc. Todd was the same dude who mentioned the nanny cam before Walt/Jesse cooked in the "fumigated" house.
He said never speak to them unless they speak to you but he did somewhat break it on this job where he asked them about how the heist was going down.

You right about him breaking it the first time they did their thing though. I'm not even sure he knew they were gonna cook meth but offered the info about the nanny cam when they aint ask him a damn thing.

Great episode. I was not expecting the ending :wow:

I'm starting to sympathize with Walt Jr a lot more. Must really suck being disabled and having such a dysfunctional family.

Yup. AMC was being stingy with all three shows especially TWD which was getting the most views out of the three. TWD def feels the penny pinching first by firing Darabont and then as we see in s2 almost no zombies the whole middle part of the season and never moving off that stupid farm.

They should have never made that 'small town security' show... That's the real waste of money.
Son I couldn't find the remote sunday night and basically just left AMC on. That show there's just no words :x This one dude was spraying his employees with pepper spray and sneaking into warehouses as tests for their security skills

It's a cheap reality show with nobodies on it. It's probably barely over the minimum amount you can spend on any show.

I agree about Mad Men. AMC got punked, because they figured it'd be easier to pay MM and get BB and TWD to tighten their belts.
Can't fault them for following the Emmys, but they lost nearly a season of 1 show and did a lot of harm critically and with a lot of fans to the other.

That said...Walking Dead's still gonna get amazing ratings and Mad Men's still gonna get Emmys, so what do we know?

I can't think that the goodness of Breaking Bad is getting concentrated, because of the shorter schedule...just the way that they craft each hourmakes me think we're losing 10 really good episodes. I don't think it would've been stretching the plot and being greedy either, considering Gilligan wanted 2 more 13-episode seasons.

It just sucks, but it's better than having those last 2 seasons of the Sopranos happen, like AMC wanted. :smh:

I can't find the room to complain about anything regarding the show right now. When it all ends I'm sure people will complain that it should go on, but there's something to be said about going out on top.

looks like prison bars to me. Obviously that's her biggest fear (next to Mike killing her), and I can't remember exactly but I think she was saying she didn't want to go to prison because her daughter would end up in a group home.. or maybe that's if she got killed? Either way.

Breaking Development time..

I just don't understand how its going to be over in 12 episodes.

I feel like there should be so much more, :frown:.

dont know if anyones mentioned the 2 jesse james references so far this season

1 where mike tells walt that just because he killed jesse james, he isnt jesse james

and the other where pinkman mentions jesse james when talking about stealing from the train. probably reaching but maybe thats how walt dies (like jesse james), by a member of his own gang. or maybe not, since gus was killed by walt in a similar manner.

ive heard 'jesse james' referenced twice so maybe theres something to it.

It just sucks that this show isn't getting the other 10 episodes Gilligan wanted, but I'm happy he didn't let them push him into dragging it out longer, like what happened to The Sopranos.

I don't want it to go on longer, because the fans'll be hungry when it's over. I just wish AMC had their **** together enough to give him the episodes he wanted and not 10 less to save money.

AMC should've given them 20 final episodes to split it 10-10. Just having 4 more episodes would help out with the pacing and would have given Gilligan's people the elbow room needed to fully tell the story.

Btw, when pitching the show's pilot in 2007, they went to FX first but were turned down. In the end, it all worked out but you gotta think, this show would've been an instant hit on FX because of its reputation for quality dramas already (The Shield, Nip/Tuck, Rescue Me) whereas AMC still had the reputation for showing old movies. Even now, shows like Sons of Anarchy and Justified still get twice the amount of viewers than either BB or Mad Men. BB didn't even really take off in the mainstream until this past year, with Netflix being a huge part of that.
