Official Air Jordan Retro I WHITE/RED/BLK Thread JAN 2013

What's all this foolery I'm reading about the Banned I's being comfortable?? Rocked my Banned I's all day on Saturday, trynna stunt for the kiddies. The joke was on me when I got home...I dont think I own a less comfortable pair of shoes, and that's not for the Banned I's...that's for all of my I's...

Might as well have gone out there with a pair of Chucks...or some .99 Old Navy flip flops (syke na, thekid don't wear flip flops, but you get my point...)

They're cool to have, dudes drool over them, leather is definitely soft. I dont care nothin bout the ankle support, I haven't played ball since like 2004 or something, but the bottom of my feet let out a little yelp with every little step I took.

Yea, I'm copping the black toes when they release later this year, but simply to complete the set. Never been so happy to put wallabees back on...and I dont eem work on the weekends...:smh:

Who said Banned 1's were comfortable? Those are one of the most uncomfortable pair of sneakers I've ever worn. Still love em tho.

These weren't even on my radar, but i seen them in person and had to cop. They look real good on feet.

I can already see Valentines Day in NYC

This dude compares the '94 version with the '13 pair. Pretty good read. Never had a '94 pair so reading this kind of gave me an idea of what they were like. Guy is an amazing photographer btw, I've been following his stuff for a while. If any of you are interested at least.

he forgot to touch on the shape difference, which is pretty apparent just by looking at the pics. the '13s are more narrow than the '94s and the '94s held true to the OG shape, whereas IMO the '13s don't. still happy overall with the '13 rendition.

Comfort is relative and depends on the person. I find I's comfortable for some reason, and a lot of the sneakers that people say are comfortable I don't find all that comfortable.

seems the knicks were on the shelves a bit longer than the chicago colors (at least that's what it seemed to me on the west coast)....

Yea, and that is ridiculous... the Knicks CW was constructed very close to the OG Jordan 1. If any of you have the Knicks, or see them in-store, check out the material used on the tongue. Man, that OG tongue material is worth the difference in price, by itself. That Knicks shoe is an instant classic, if you have the opportunity, scoop it. Even if you hate the Knicks :smokin

for those of u complaining about creasing, well it's bc they're AJ1s. forcefields are a MUST!

My 1's are tight when i'm first putting them on so I wouldn't even try using them on mine but I'm not really seeing mine crease when i walk.

generally speaking, ur gonna wanna always go .5 up on size when dealing with force fields. trust me they are worth it and i have a set in every pair of my shoes that aren't foam based. it extends the life of ur shoes exponentially imo. i swear by them.

SNS has a size 9.5 still left if anyone interested. They released internationally a little bit ago.

SAME HERE EXCEPT I USE BOTH FORCE FIELDS AND SNEAKERSHIELDS. DEPENDS ON THE SHOE WHICH ONE I DECIDE TO PUT IN.

Eastbay order shipped for the Chicago 1 and I found another pair for 130 shipped! So stoked! Glad everyone who got em likes it. To the ones searching for their size and a good price, I hope you get yours!!

I had some in my 3s for a while but when I finally took them out they felt a lot more comfortable but they do work

I also noticed that, at first I wanted the chicago CW and I struck out at the places I went (bay area), but the last place I went sold out of Chicago's but had a pair of Knicks left in my size. I copped, and now they are really growing on me!!

THE SHOE ITSELF IS GARBAGE BUT THEY DIDN'T PLAY AROUND ON THE LEATHR ON THOSE AT ALL.
