Air Jordan XX8 aka 2013, new "Proplate Zoom" Technology OFFICIAL THREAD.

You guys say shoes like the 2010s 2012s etc are ugly but 10 years from now when they are retroed they probably will be the shoes people get hyped for lol

I remember the Grape V being on discount and I still didn't buy. Boy, do I regret that now ;-)

yeah 2009's are the worst air jordan sig EVER! i hate mine

I respectfully disagree......

I just cant get past that "window/hole/who the hell approved that" thing...:x

as long as JB can pitch a marketing story behind a "feature" of the shoe, they will run with it. See the explanation of the "window" on the 2010 model:

Acclaimed shoe designers Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith collaborated with Michael Jordan on the Air Jordan 2010, taking the literal interpretation of Jordan’s ability to see through his opponents by creating the brand’s first see-through performance basketball shoe featuring a unique transparent thermoplastic urethane (TPU) window.

:smh:  yup that window gonna help my game be more like MJs.

Comfort wise, I thought the 2009s were great, also thought it was a clean shoe off the court. The 2010s were very comfortable, cosmetically wasnt the best but in my opinion there is uglier Jays than the 2010s.. 15s for example, im also not a fan of the 6s... to each their own though.

Did any of you guys play in the 2010? They were great. Not only was the ventilation awesome because of the "window," but I *loved* the way you could bend your foot independent of the toe. That was an incredible feature that needs to be brought back.

For those of you that are not interested in high end athletic equipment, there are plenty of threads about other shoes that may interest you. Perhaps a rerelease of an uncomfortable shoe from the 80s? Except now the materials are of lesser quality and the price is much higher? Sound good? Plenty of threads for you.

I agree with u, the only thing was the lace were so thin on these that they always came lose no matter how tight I tied em.

I like the black 2009's. I have two pair that I got for $50.

The worst sigs have to be the xv, 2012, 2013

I liked the YOTD 2012 [shrug]

I have this colorway, but I don't particularly like it. The color blocking could have been a lot better.

I never understood the window.

The window represents how MJ could look through his opponents. Mad Corny 2010's don't even look like a sig IMO, looks more like some random team jb ish

I mean, I understand what they said it was supposed to represent. It was always just a corny gimmick and ruined the flow of the shoe to me. With the black ones, them being all black(and Carolina) makes it less noticeable.

Wow at the XV slander...never understood it. Maybe you guys never saw the Flint Grey or Obsidian XV. I digress...I randomly think these have potential...most sig jordans were not love at first sight.

I kinda like how all the recent flagship models are hated on. I scooped up the 2012s a couple weeks ago for $79.99 for the full system and a couple months ago I picked up a pair of 2011s for about $73 shipped. Honestly I wasn't really feeling either of them when I first saw them online, but they grew on me after seeing them in person and trying them on. I hope I can say the same about the XX8s. (Plus, IMO, the 2011s and 2012s are great on-court performers).

Those cleats Crabtree wore (as sick as they are and as much as we want them to be) are NOT any type the Air Jordan 28, but just a regular Jordan cleat with a whole other name for itsself. Once I get the name again I will post it (if this has already been stated then my apology in advance, but I did not see that it has been). As well they are already working on the Jordan 2014/Jordan 29.

The Jordan 2009, nope to everything about it.

In regards to the Jordan 2010 they were sick, and I promise you if I were to post pics of my the black/carolina blue colorway people would still go crazy over them, like before when they first released. Plus the the 2010 Jordan was crazy comfy, but like someone above said the laces come untied way too much. Only thing I would change about them is a better lock down on the tongue other then that, the 2010's were/are great, still rock the 4 colorways that I have! :nthat:

The Jordan 2011, just an all around great shoe, love and wear all 4 of my colorways! :nthat:

The Jordan 2012, very comfy shoe, but the only colorway that I liked is the Year of The Dragon, even liked the cool grey pair, just didn't like the volt in it, so I didn't get them although tempted.

The Jordan 2013, don't know yet.

I liked the 2010's for on court performance. The look was alright, but was doable. These two colorways were the ones that I really liked. Followed by the all black ones and the carolinas. NT Chicago sent me a free pair of red cement socks to wear with the Silver anniversary all white 2010's. I used them in my all black pair and it looked dope. These 2010's had a lot of potential and that bottom loaded zoom and the stacked heel zoom was amazing.

The 2009's and the 2012s though? I couldn't get down with those.

Those photoshops of what the xx8 shoulda been? Man, I would be copping a bunch of pairs if they looked like that...

I love the 15's though. I had the white/Columbias. They were too dope. Waiting for a retro.

The only ones id buy over retail is the B/reds, columbias, and MAYBE the lasers. Maybe,

i think times are crazy for someone to say that. if those were official everyone would be wanting a true upper and not that 1 piece nonsense.

Can you elaborate on this? I do not have any experience with 2010s so I'd like to know more about the details.

the narration is funny. all the guy says is the patently obvious and all the positivity is just jb brown nosing.

what is proplate? how does it work that is new? how is it different to flightcarbon in the 2012, or standard cf in older models? vid could have show more inside the shroud, the part we have yet to see much detail.

unboxing? yes.
review? hell naw

thanks for the commercial.

Well they got to keep it biased or JB ain't giving them shoes anymore.

the toe cap was completely independent from the rest of the shoe. it was an amazing feature that i wish i could have in every shoe i play in. you should be able to see in pictures of the 2010 that the toe box goes over and around the rest of the shoe.

not the best PS skills but heres what i came up with
