Many great players use trash talk to help them win the game. I use it in my game too, it helps you gain a LARGE advantage over the mentally weak. Drop a couple comments here and there, get em mad, and now they can't play their game. REAL PLAYERS understand that its part of the game and brush it off quick as if it never happened

Usually, if someone is doing an inordinant amount of talking, hit him with a couple of points really quickly and stare at him. Don't say a word, just stare. If that doesn't work, hit him with something so nasty that the people on the sideline go "Ooooohhhh" or the gym goes silent. You didnt have to say anything, but you should have acknowledge him, a wink, a look, anything to ley him know to shut up.
