Pittsburgh (and NYG) still has more talent than Jacksonville, Oakland, Minnesota, NYJ, Cards.

I disagree. I think Minnesota is the most talented out of all those teams listed. If it wasn't for bad QB play and questionable coaching decisions, they'd easily be 3-1 right now...

Minny's secondary is burnt toast in a pass-happy league.

Bad QB play is a huge factor. Eli and Ben are just below elite and have two rings apiece. That's a huge reason I have Pitt and NYG over Minny.

Wait, they're the same person? Damn I didn't know that either.

I just saw the Sports Science on AP and his 60 yard run in England... My God he is nasty!

Over 700 pounds of force in one leg on a cut, 1200 pounds of force in his stiff arm = to a heavy weight boxer and the last 10 yards he was at 21.8 mph!

Peterson is really a cyborg

Geno's best chance is to stop being a Jet. Until that happens, his future is ruined.

No one deserves punishment like that team and its fanbase. :smh:

700

Dolphins start 3-1 and they're suddenly the class of the AFC East.

Who said that?

pretty much everyone who watched NE barely beat tampa and miami handle ATL. trust me, i got into it with a dumb *** giants fan at the bar two sundays ago because of it. he promised me the falcons would beat us and that it's miami's division.

Well, it ain't Dolphin fans sayin it. None that I know of at least. Just because I mention what a garbage franchise the Jets are doesn't mean I'm hyping my squad any.

The Jets just suck, only slightly more than their fanbase.

We may suck as a team, but how our fanbase? Feel like we go through heartache worse than most other teams.

Our heartache is much more different than being a Jags fan, if you get what I mean.

That NYJ defense will be serious for years to come. Wilkerson, Richardson, Coples, Harris, Davis, Cro, Dee.

Just need a premier safety really.

Heard the craziest stat this morning....

There have been something like 126 games played so far in the NFL season. There have only been 16 100 yard rushers (including QBs).

Death of the NFL RB is happening right before our eyes

As Trent Richardson and others have proven (so far), unless you have the skill-set of an AD, it's beyond foolish to waste a 1st round pick on RB in today's league.

My point was that NYG and Pitt have the talent and HC more importantly to turnaround the season, even at 0-4. Playoffs is a long shot, by 8-4 the rest of the season isn't.

yes it is

they arent 0-4 losing close games on fixable mental mistakes , theyre getting beaten convincingly and have serious issues regarding their defense and offensive lines . no way they go 8-4 the rest of the season

And honestly what's the point unless 8-8 gets you in the playoffs

Have Xavier Rhodes and Harrison Smith not been playing well? That Vikings secondary has supposebly been getting murked every game.

Outside of AP and McCoy, there isn't a running back in the league that matters anymore.

Ray Rice got 5 carries, and Joe Flacco, I say again, Joe Flacco droppin back 50 times. This is today's NFL.

Running Back is damn near a decoy more than anything, or if they are decent enough in the passing game (Reggie, Sproles) then they can be used that way.

And if you look at the 2014 Draft as of right now, about 10-15 QB's that can come up, and about 35+ receivers that look nice on the way. Not to mention a handful of Tight Ends that will be pass catchers for someone. Maybe, maybe 4-5 running backs that look worthy of anything, and a couple of those fit in the Reggie/Sproles category.

2015 looks to have a couple RB's in Gurley, Yeldon and Duke, but by then it will be so slanted towards passing, even they may not make any sort of impact for a while, unless they can catch the ball.

Eh Foster is starting to get into game shape and just cracked 100 with 70 reciving against one of the better defenses in the league.

Beast mode has 350 rushing and 100 reciving thru 4 games while almost cracking 100 ( 98 / 97 ) against 2 top tier defenses ( SF / Hou )

While the decline of the RB is coming and obvious I wouldn't say there aren't RBs worth anything. AD is Jesus in cleats, Shady plays on a team where the offense has to try and out score you because the defense is atrocious.

And not to mention majority of teams have 2RB rotations and you have young guys splitting carries or by committee.

Injuries. Harrison Smith has been doing well though. Rhodes only plays left side in Nickel packages. There's also been questionable LB play as well.

As good as guys like Gurley and Yeldon are, I can't see a team spending more than a late-round 1st on them. I could see those guys having the same fate as Eddie Lacy. Just going in the 2nd. There's no shame in it, but you can get the same value at RB in later rounds.

Like you said, there are 2RB rotations, which is leading to the decline, but I think guys like Lynch/AD are a dying breed....in the regard that they are RBs who can carry the rock 25+ times per game.

In today's league, teams are going to be looking for guys who can not only run the ball, but also be a recieving threat out of the backfield like Charles, Rice, and McCoy.

In light of what CP just said about the amount of passing in today's nfl..

Just remembered something I always say whenever the conversation of greatest RB ever comes up.. Marshall Faulk might not be the greatest RB ever, but if I were given the choice of any RB, I would take him

Especially in today's nfl

RBs like Reggie Bush, Darren Sproles and Shane Vareen are significantly more important in todays NFL than your traditional back

I know AP has questionable hands at times but I think the Vikes should make more passing plays for him as well...

It's sad, the NFL is slowly turning games into looking like these bums who play Madden, passing every single down and stay in the 3rd & 6+. :smh:
It's not a winning formula for the long haul.
