I was listening to ESPN earlier today and I forget which exact show was on, but the analyst were having an argument on whether or not the New England Patriotsas a team could beat the NFC Pro Bowl team.

I know ESPN is notorious for its use of sensationalism, but at the same time they seemed serious. And I know that there are some Patriots "Fans" whoprobably really believe this.

Does anyone here think they could realistically match up against the NFC team?

In my opinion they could get blasted, but at the same time, I still don't think they will win the Super Bowl. But I've rooted against them every week, and week in and week out they proved me wrong.

But still they aren't beating a team full of All-stars.

What do you all think about this?

False, but I'd think the Patriots would have more chemistry obviously so it could be close...

TRUE - getting an entire team of superstars to play as a unit is extremely difficult. Belichick could prolly do it though if he coached the NFC All Pros. But Ihonestly think the Pats would take it because they'd have the greater ability to play as a unit.

No I really dont see that being possible. Yes theyve blown out many teams and scored a TON of points...but they almost lost to the Ravens and the Eagles (notknocking either team). My point is, they ARE vulnerable. They are very good, but they are vulnerable.

Against a team full of pro bowlers? literally? I dont think so.

Yeah Ill give you that...if they had time to prepare and practice as a team, the NFC would win

I guess we'll see in the Super Bowl when they play the Cowboys....

no, i dont believe one team can beat a pro bowl team.

people ar taking this a little too far

That Cowboy's comment really isn't that bad. Take the Cowboys against the rest of the NFC Allstars, they would win, I believe. The Patriots havealready beat the cowboys. I have no idea if that logic makes sense, but I say true.

shut the %$!* up with this Pats talk already

I cant stand how people like you compare them to these teams or the ESPN hype machine when they would match up these Pats vs all time greats like 72 dolphinsor 85 bears or the old 9ers and Cowboys

Wait for them to win a %$*@*@$ superbowl 1st. !%%!. Wait to see if they can take the Jags or the Colts and then compare them to these %$*@*@$ teams. holy !%%!

Took the words out of my mouth.

I think so. When two teams are so evenly matched, it points back to synergy. Patriots have a lot of it.
