lol what? I think were talking about the America Cups specifically, and those are far out of style just because of better sneakers on the market. as far as the brand itself that's a different discussion

I don't know about "out of style" per say...however, it's just not a trending shoe or popular among some people.

But I understand what he saying though.
Then again, I just love the design so I'm bias.

Designer items will never go out of style as long as they are simple, classic shoes. SLPs have not overthrown Balenciaga. I think it's just, that everyone on this forum/most people own a pair of balenciagas--and all the new colorways and styles of the new SLPs are bad ***, so they're being talked about quite a bit on here. When Balenciaga releases new colorways (honeycomb don't count since they suck), I'm sure more people will be talking balenciaga again. Point is, you're safe buying anything designer, because they know what they're doing to make their pieces timeless

nobody said balenciagas were out of style, idk where that even came from lol. I will say that the only reason they haven't been played out yet tho is because of the price, not because it's such a "timeless design".

anything can get played once it gets over saturated and people start to make it look stupid. but SLPs have a long way to go before they're the next Arenas, people are so quick to try and call others hypebeasts when all you dudes are most likely hypebeasts in one way or another

It'll be very difficult to over saturate the market. I still very rarely see anyone wearing high-end sneakers out in public, even when I walk around at South Coast Plaza or Beverly Center or Rodeo Drive or Vegas, etc...

Funny thing is I see it more often during sale time at Barneys, I may have seen one guy wearing RO Geos and MMM GATs but that is the extent of it. Private parties/events are different but even then it's only a handful.

I see a lot of designers out in soho and the like but not really all too much in general around nyc.

But whoever said the hood loves gz is correct

it's a very small market, the internet makes it seem bigger. and I think it has lower standards when it comes to over saturation then average brands would. I don't wanna go here but it's usually when people considered "ghetto" start wearing a brand. again Balenciagas are really too expensive for that to happen.

I don't necessarily like that but I do like being a part of a smaller community, Jordan's for example I think have been over saturated and are going out of style imo. just like the AF1, the popularity exploded, they became over saturated but they still remained popular for awhile. over time people got bored with them. probably won't happen with Balenciaga or SLP although because of the internet it seems like they're everywhere

I kind of understand where Mart Da God is coming from here. However, as saturated as the arena market is.. It's still limited, the leather is by guy fieri standards out of bounds. I'm by no means rich etc. But copping a pair of balenciagas or a pair of low cut gz arent out of my realms. I'd rather spend my money here where we cop leather that makes people say Oo and ah then cop a pair of synthetic whatever whatevers

This is true. I wear mine as much as possible.

Besides, the special events/parties that I attend requires suits/tuxes.
