Come on Lurkin, I know you love Gucci but those statements areridiculous if you make sound negative.
I love Gucci but most of their shoes aren't original either.
Slip-on = Vans, hi-tops = Chucks.
If you want something original that didn't copy any brands, get Prada A-Cups.

ok i wont lie, i was just talkin &%^$
who in this thread doesnt own a pair of a-cups?..............hell that was the reason i switched to gucci because prada cup fakes hit the streets HARD. noteven that.......soo common now.

I don't know, here in SoCal, A-Cups are still pretty rare.
My guess is they sell well because I do see them run out at stores but it's still not common.
At least when you have a pair of A-Cups, no one would suspect your wearing nother brand.
Yeah, fakes are everywhere but so far so good in my area, I don't think i've seen much if any.
Even the Fila rip-offs aren't too common here.

I think you can get those lanvins at barneys. They might have had them on sale not sure.

already checked barneys they dont have the bottegas or the grey joints style i posted. these are pretty hard to find huh? some clean ones on ebay right now too

correction also..............so these joints go for 900+. ill stay in my lane. might as well blow money on a military style rifle if i was gonna spend $915 onsneakers

edit: good look rfx, wont find none in my state though anyways,

They shouldn't be too hard to find in-store.
The Barneys in Rodeo Drive are flooded with Lanvins.
I believe the Bottega Veneta's as well.
Out of all the stores though, including Nordstrom, Saks and Neiman Marcus, Barneys are the only ones that carries both brands.

Same with the Barneys here in San Francisco...they have a good selection of lanvins. I actually saw alot of Lanvins on sale during the Barneyssale, but not sure if the one lurkin posted was there or even on sale.

^ Damn you guys are lucky. My Chevy Chase Barney's doesn't get Lanvin. Don't know about the one in Georgetown though, haven't been around therein awhile.

I aint tryin to attacks no one, I'm just keeping it as 100% as possible as I see it.

I appreciate rfx for recognizing it as such, cause I mean I dragged everyone of on a tangent, but I think the point made by both sides give good insight (minejust more

)

And I'm gonna ho head and stay on my tangent, this time tre you get to be my target. As far as the whole quality thing goes alotta owmen say LV becausetheir purse/luguage.accessory driven brand has more feminine appeal. To me the best quality judgement comes from actually having experience with the garments.I can TELL you the skies red, that don't make it so.. To me they both are of great quality, but clothes wise I don't feel you can just take it as lawoffa ya mamma's words in passing. Not to say you all don't have wonderful beautiful moms.

And as far as the prada game goes out here on the east especially in NY/north jersey pradas were "played out" (read: pretty common) back in like 03before there were even fakes available like that.

And besides they look like alien shoes, but then again that reflects on MY PERSONAL tastes and brings me to what I'd love to see retroed 1. The Jay-z af2lookin guccis highs in blk white 2. The LV desert boots 3. The original s.carter guccis highs and lows 4. All three additonal colors of the gucci classic bootsthat come in blk mesh with the strap (tan/brown suede)(saks exclsuive brown mongrammed leather) (saks exclsive black monogramed leather)

naw I never meant to get into the whole quality ofclothes argument- i was just stating what my mindset was brand wise and why - my history shaped that and it could be dead wrong from a quality standpoint - butthats the prestige aspect of it-

and your absolutely right my momma is wonderful and beautiful but she cant speak on the quality comparisons of the clothes cause all she really messes with arebags and accessories/shoes from them-

those were my lanvins and BV's...

as for lanvin, you can get them at barneys... retail is $860 for the strapped highs, but they do have 1-day F&F sale where you can get 40% off.
i picked up those bottega veneta highs at the BV store on rodeo, haven't seen them anywhere else.

hope that helps.

just a heads up, i went to saks today and they were having an extra 50% off sale items if you use you saks card. i got a pair of a-cups, and some ferragamosneakers for under $250.
